Snuffy has some grey/black marking on her stomach too.. It wasn't there when she was a pup, so I guess it might be normal, did not really check it out as it is not too visible unless I turn her around, and look closely. Archie is beginning to have some minor spot appearing too..
What about other beagles? What about Bodhi? Belle?
No lar didn't enroll him....i doubt will enroll him further liao...when we were back in Pg we joined in the class and he played a fool the whole time there...asked him to heel he kept rolling and scratching his back all over the grass ...asked him to down he down his 2 front legs and stick his butt up and looked at me .....dun think his obedience skill can be better than that lol...but i still wanna socialise him every now and then, that's why i wanna bring him to Padang Merbuk.
HeeHee! Biscuit is one playful dog . Bodhi also the same-lah! During training, she'll look here, look there, scratch here, scratch there, sniff here, sniff there before she'll respond to my command. But I notice she's getting a bbbbiiiiitttt better as she gets older now.
While you describing biscuit's reaction in training, I can already imagining how he looks like.. :) Biscuit is just one of the very active dogs I love to watch, I find him so cute and adorable.
I am not sure if any bank still want to change it unless you can patch it back nicely ? But into 10 small pieces..mm...
Don't worry, this is beagle! Snuffy and Archie has each chewed up my mobile phone chargers and snuffy has chewed up last time, many of my original computer games with the cds in it.. .
If you are just staying in a condo for short period, I guess is okay.
Anyway, in long run it is always more convenient to have dogs in landed property, easier for both us and the dog. Hope you will find a right dog for you soon :)
I have a question here.... how to prevent Fleas??? hmm, because as we socialize too much, what if coco get fleas from other dogss? although now she still dun have any. Any suggestion??
1. Check their skin/fur regularly, like once in two days or so, monitor them closely especially when they start to scratch unnecessarily. Sometimes flea are not noticeable by our bare eyes, but start to wary when you see some dried blook scar on their skin (like mosquito bite)
2. Do bath them with anti-flea shampoo.
If kena flea already:
1. You can use flea-collar, flea-drips, or just bath them with flea-shampoo.
For me, I use Frontline spot-on and complement it with anti-tick wash (but only if absolutely necessary because too much may be harmful). So, are you coming for the walk at Bukit Kiara on 4/3/03? kbs and I will be there. Hope to see you and other beaglers there too .
kiara thing i also wish to go. hmm, but this time definately i won bring my gf, coz she totally canot walk wan
fleas fleas... wat if i buy a tick collar and put in on when she go out for walk? prevention??? or maybe, beagles hair too short and hard to get fleas?? because the old dog i kept is really fleas until very very serious problem and i really scared of it. when my old dog past away, thousand thousand of fleas come out and die.
Tick collars are poisonous. So, you have to use it with CAUTION. Maybe, you can put it on when you bring coco out for walks alone, but if there's going to be other dogs around, then I would suggest you don't use it because other dogs might accidently chew on it when they are playing with Coco.
Eventhough beagle hair is short, they are actually quite thick. So, there's still plenty of hiding places for ticks and mites (e.g. ears, paws etc). There won't be a 100% solution. So you just have to manually check Coco's body every now and then to make sure. Not only that, you have to make sure your compound is clean too.
It is not recommended to use tick collar if ur dog has no flea. And snoopydog is right, try not to use it on a puppy unless really really necessary. Do a routine check on coco skin/hair, or you can buy a type of comb specificly to comb out the flea. Then you can check all the time if there are fleas on our doggy.
Any dogs whether short hair or long hair is prone to have fleas if we let them outdoor more. So, a constant check is still the best precaution. I bath my doggy with anti-flea shampoo at least once in a month, and for normal bathing, I do it every week for them.
