Hi, we are from Germany. Our dog is Golden Retriever. His name is Zoro, 6 years old. He is now 1 month in KL. I'm happy that i found this forum and i have a lot of questions.
Zoro brings a lot of ticks every time he goes for a walk. The ticks don't stay on him, they are crawling everywhere. Is this normal?
He is on BARF diet. Where can i find here raw meat( except supermarket) especially tripe( stomach, rumen, omasum), throat, trachea and other beef parts?

Hi nice to meet you. My dogs are on BARF about 5 days a week. I know the place to get most of those parts you mention. Can we keep in touch by email? My email is acs_yen @ h.o.t.m.ai. l. co. m We can chat more via email.

hi jenny, welcome to KL...
if the ticks are crawling everywhere, then there is a possibility ur home may be tick infested... do u stay in a landed property? if so, perhaps u should check ur garden and house compound...
besides supermarket, it's not easy to find a good source of raw meat for barf diet here... i think a member here, acsyen, may have a contact to share...
vet using homoepathy... not that i know of...
KL is sooooooooo different from Germany, isn't it? i hope u and Zoro will adapt well here...

Oh yes, quite different the doglife here. We miss the leechfree walks..... The german ticks stay on the dog until they have enough blood and then they fall down and can not move..... The malaysian are different. We stay at Damansara. The garden is already sprayed. Today i didn't see a tick , maybe they come from the walks at the hill. Yesterday we were only here in the compound. I hope, i will not see another......

haha, the malaysian ticks also stay on the dog n will fall off after they have enough blood, but i've also seen ticks crawling on the floor in my house...
u take Zoro to the hill? perhaps u'd be interested to join the jungle trekking gang every saturday 8am at gasing hill, PJ... i hear it's a lot of fun for the doggies...

Oh, jungle trekking sounds good! But i'm afraid, we can not make it so early because of our baby. Maybe we can try-where is the gasing hill in PJ? and how long is the walk?
