My hubby and I jst bought a puppy 2 weeks ago, she is an American Spaniel Cocker, and we called her MOCHA because of her coat colour. a warm welcome to the forum ya ! hey, one of my furbaby is call Mocha too ( which is not solely because of her colour as u can see in my avatar but mainly becoz Ice Mocha is my favourite drink ) Hope you'll enjoy the forum as much as I did & I'm sure if you do a search on the word toilet train/housebreaking you'll be able to find lots of information on how to house train your pups.
Big welcome to you and ur hubby and to MOCHA to puppy.com...
be patient with the toilet training...its like training a chlid too... pups usually 'wee wee' when they wake up from nap and do their 'poo poo' after meal or in a certain time of the day.... take note of when it usually have to do its business and take it to the spot you want it to ease itself for several times repeatedly until ur pup finally do it itself... when it realises thats the place you want it to use as toilet it will do it...this method usually takes about a week for the pup to eventually get the message provided you do ur part in showing it the place frequently and making sure it ease itself in the place you want it to. GOOD LUCK
