gulp~ isn't that a lil heavy? if i'm not mistaken, a pug's ideal weight would b somewhere around 7 - 9 kgs.

Yoda's nearing 5 months and he's only 4.4 KGs (30th June 2003), now u guys make me wonder if he's under weight.
Cheers!

Re: [archer] Pug [In reply to] Can't Post

hi archer,

dun worry too much abt the weight. as long as u dun over/under feed yoda. however, i do think some pugs are of smaller and some of bigger build. for example, elvis (my neighbour's pug) is already longer and taller than rusty even though he's still growing and rusty is full grown.

dun worry abt yoda being underweight now cos he'll grow real fast from now on without u realising it.

the reason rusty has put on weight cos the mummy has gotten a bit lazy and he hasn't been going out for his walks TongueBlush.

just appreciate his mini size and portability now cos it'll be a history soon Wink.

Rusty, alamak 10kg!! wah - sure you'll win lah Smile maybe boys bigger hor. My fatty Pinky only 7.9kg (11th/6/03) but think she's heavier now, hehehe & she's already sooo heavy. She's gonna have her booster shot next week, so can see the wt.

Neighbour's pug 7mths alreadi 8+ ah O-O My Baby was 4.15kg leh at just over 4mths (7th/5/03) but she sure has grown since then. Dunno what's her wt now Crazy Hope you have told your neighbour to register at puppy.com & quick quick come in here & add to the list Wink

Hey, people, we must make a BIG presence at next gathering k. Gotta give the GRs a run for their fur. Also for sure, puggies no more in DLL group.

Cheers!

dun think yoda can take part in the fei chai competition hahahaha ... yeh running shoes will b ideal! lucky for us they would tire soon hehehe ... hrmmm but a few hours ain't soon is it? Laugh

hrmmm letting em off leash ? we should ? just to see what happens ... let's all gather, then let em off leash together!

as active as yoda may b in the apartment, I brought him down on monday for a walk, gee he was like planting his ass on the pavement! he refused to move even when tugged! stood there for like 15 minutes waiting for him to move, then i gave up n carried him up. hehe. will try that tonite again.
Cheers!

Re: [archer] Pug [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Jason

ooh that happens to my goddaughter - a long hair chihuahua in Spore. she's even worse, the moment u put the leash to her harness, that's it - she's not moving an inch! she'll jst be like Yoda, plant her tiny ass on the ground & like cacat, cannot walk. Then hor when you take away the leash, ah then she'll get up & walk & follow you. She's real tiny & a real scaredy cat - everything scare her. See her pic.

Lucky my Baby had no problem going on the leash & walking - she just follow the fatty Pinky, hehehe. Now they're quite ok & when their lazy mummy feels like it, then they get to walkie. Just keep trying Jason, be patient. Hey, maybe you can practise in the apartment, put on the harness & put him on the leash & walk walk mah. Wah if not hor, be prepared lor to carry Yoda everywhere & ahem, remember when pugs grow up, they're not featherweight! TongueBlushCrazy

Aiyo, can't wait lah to pinch Yoda's, Rusty's & other pugs cheeks. When lah next gathering?

Cheers!

Re: [pinky55poo] Pug [In reply to] Can't Post

hehe pinky, dun laugh at my rusty fatty boom-boom mah Pirate. but i promised myself that i'll bring him out for walks more often. luckily i could let him run in the stairway at the condo. i'll just put him off leash and let him run up and down. this way, i can be lazy Tongue.

as for elvis, his mummy is not a member in puppy.com yet. but she has been attending the gatherings (twice like i did). hmmm. elvis does not look fat at all. can only see he has long limbs and body. his mummy said he's growing longer instead of fatter Crazy.

yeah, i agree with you abt not worrying too much abt the weight as long as they look ok.

btw, mr. khoo is summoning all the puggies for the next gathering. so, ALL THE PUGGIES OWNERS pls attend the next gathering.

archer, rusty also refused to walk when i first put him on leash Crazy. it's like he's using his little paws to brake.it's funny isn't it Sly?however, i din give in to him. i just keep pulling him until he moves and praised him for walking Pirate. in no time he'll be one leading you to his leash and make u put him on leash so that he can go out for his walks Wink.

the last gathering was really fun. i actually let rusty go without leash. however still must follow him closely lah. or else he'll just dissapear. but he did not like "fong kam" and run far far away. he'll just sniff everything and anything. it was fun to be able to let them loose and let them socialise with other doggies. i'm sure you can do this to yoda too Wink.

so, remember all the pugs owners, must attend the next gathering! hope to see you guys real soon.

hmmm, cud be good idea Smile

yah it'll be really great if our babies can grunt & snort on demand but still is a great idea. I do notice that they won't snort if they're excited & their tongues are out especially when they're on their outings.

Thank you ah Jason for the compliment. Yup fatty Pinky is quite a pug, hehehehe. One-eyed, snorting, farting, fussy, greedy, fatty PUG! then hor she no likie ppl touch or take her paws. Even if she gives you her paw (like in shake hands), she'll lift her paw but will move it up & to the side like, "ok, now u hve my paw, but don't touch!" UnsureCrazyUnsureMad Very pah pai!

Look forward to having my monkey Baby play with your Yoda (think they're 1 mth apart).
