he's only 10 months and he usually obey me. this few days his friends the outside strays keep coming to ask him to join in for the mating group . this is when he don't listen to me when i ask him to come back. he just look at me for a sec and decided to follow his friend. i was mad at him and lock him in the cage. i did explain to my boy why and he just stair at me and give me the self pity look. he would cry for hours if i don't let him out. at the moment i cannot actively play with him is because i'm pregnant. so my poor boy has been boring for 4 months. but what can i do? let him out to join his friend? i don't think is a good idea coz i don't want to see more strays babies... seems like this is the option for the time being, as you are facing a lil bit of complication there with difference in opinion.
just as a reminder, your boy could catch sickness and disease, and also STD/VD as well,.,..... so even if you have neutered him, dun let him out to mingle with other dogs unsupervised. to help him socialise , bring him to dog meetings, where all the other dogs are well taken care off.
u can neuter him when he is a full adult, then he will have the macho look n' attitude... tell ur hubby that...

I when through your user post and i got to know that you are malay . My vet is a malay girl who wear tudung she's very friendly and helpful. I'm not surprise that malay do rear dogs. but i'm happy to know you. if i have a chance i would love to meet up with our furkids.

My mixed breed, Pluto is 5 mths old and already 11 kilo (that was 2 weeks ago).According to my vet he will grow up to mayb 20 -25 kilo. Mati lor, me like that, sometime I carry him cos he refuse to come down from car...he he he. Pluto is scheduled for neutering after Hari Raya. My other mini pinscher Basco (male) and Brenda (female) both have been sterelized.
I can confirm, their attitude and temperament have never changed. They are loving and protective as how any min. pin. shld. Your vet is a tudung lady? Is it Dr. Siti?
Pluto is definately taller than my min. pin but nt as big as a great dane lar....

i have consult my hubby about neutering my boy. he still disagree with it. he said very chan yan (awfull) taking his boy man hood away. most we can do is try not to let him out from the gate lo.
so i have to lock my boy in the cage till i come back form home lo... what to do.
My vet i don't know her name. but she's young and preety. her clinic is at taman sri gombak. i was amaze that she can even handle a huge rottweiler. i thinks she's cool...
my boy wieght is around 29kg. this few days his is so bored and donno what to do. poor boy have to wait till daddy come back and play with him Shekel

Handsome boy u have there...ahhh..29kilo..that's heavier than a 8 mths old GR (my fren's GR is 25 kilo)..he must be huge lahhh...
I have a friend he did not neuter his boy, too. And he will always be humping everybody's leg and any dog in sight (big, small or watever)..actually I think that is more kesian ...cos he really wanted to do it and there's no right candidate...According to the 'mummy' he will be 'done' once he make one round of babies...actually, animals 'do' it out of instict as they need to multiple & breed. We human, 'do' it not only for breeding but for pleasure ...... that is an exception for dolphins though...he he ..they do it for pleasure too...
As for my boy, he still want to hump cos of habit and not the urge of 'doing' it .....but its getting lesser and lesser now...he seldom mark territory now unless if he smells of other dog...

...you mean you bring 3 of your furkid? which part of PD? no body halau ka? My hubby home town in Melaka. wanted to bring my boy there but don't know which part of the sea side allowed dog. Oh i read 1 of the forum that you bring your furkids to Afamosa right? is that you?
Any of you guys have any idea to let my furkid know that there's new comer coming next year... I got to prepare la when my baby coming out i scared my boy will be jealous and another problem is... he like to chase after cats. as you all know cat some time miao like a baby. Shekel
FYI, dogs hump is also for another reason, to express dominance, if u observe more dogs, you will notice puppies hump each other, hump your foot, female dogs humping another dog, not because they want sex, but just to show they wan to be the boss. but don't encourage this habit, just distract the dog and make it do other things.

Yup, my kids went to Afamosa during PPC gathering. On the way home, we singgah at PD (near to Legend Chalet) and lepak there. The ppl there sportinglah..(not much ppl btw, cos its Puasa time..plus we sampai there around 5 p.m when most ppl dah balik)...
There's like 6 dogs in the group - 3 of my kids, 2 shit zhu and i golden retriever)...We are planning for another gathering...U c, there are some places that allow dogs..have to be rajin and check..In fact, some forum members went to KKB waterfall recently. They had fun& no one kacau them also...right musashi and janthk?
I have no experience with new family member and dogs bt my brother is very closed to his cat and his wife gave birth a year ago. The cat merajuk for a while, but after that start accepting the baby and now very protective over the baby.....I guess, dogs are the same .....I donno..
But u must make sure, you dont neglect him when the baby arrives. Anyone for that matter will feel sad and abandoned...right?

Yea shekel I am going with my dog Bambi. I adopted her from this forum before I started rescuing, hehe. U going? Hopefully my housemates are bringing my another 2 rescued dogs, Shasha and Buddy along too. They are very 'ulu' coz never go out socializing.

my father inlaw never lock the gate. and my boy know how to pull the gate with his hand and push the gate when he want to come in. 
so my father inlaw cannot let my boy out when i'm not around
