I kept one pup Louis and Benny came back to us 8 weeks ago, as his old mum ggot pregnant and couldnt cope !!!. Would love to see pictures of your Shiddy. Vicki

sharon Enthusiast May 28, 2003, 8:23 PM Views: 1335 Re: [ashley] Benny Shih Tzu Hi Ashley, Happy to know that u like her black .... friends of mine always condemned her Actually, she is the 1st black Shih Tzu I came across..... incidently, 1 of my KL's friend has a black male shih tzu also (with 99% similarity) I am not sure y her coat stays so black as I was told that it will turn brownish by the seller..... that's the colour I wanted. May b the food & the garlic oil I gave her do have some effect on the colouration la .... do need prof advise Me & Makiyo

furbabysinc Novice May 29, 2003, 12:35 AM Views: 1329 Re: [sharon] Benny Shih Tzu Hi Sharon, colouring is all down to genetics, by 1 year you should have a good idea to the end colour, your little girl looks like shes gonna stay black, it seems when they have a shot of white somewhere they stay more black, 2 of mine where solid black and are now more silver , where as the 2 with a shot of white are much blacker. I think the Blacks are stunning and are not easy to come by , my lot come from a famous dog called Chimney Sweep he is where to black gene in mine has come from. Britney Spears has a Black one which cost $5000 dollars !!!!. I think they look stunning with a nice ed lead and a red satin bow in, I made a dog coats for the in a dalmation design trimmed in red satin they turned a few heads. Speak Soon Vicki
