I have a three month old golden retriever and my sister always teasees me that she is not a pure bred dog, although she was bought by my parents at a respectable pet shop as my birthday gift. The reason she always tells me that Prue, that's my dog's name, is not "pure" is because she still doesn't have a long coat. Here's my question: When does golden retrievers develop that long coat in their life? Thanx for your response.
