My Wife love Yorkshire Terrier

Hello Everyone,

This sites is really good for puppy lovers/beginners/dummies. Any Tom, Dick & Harry also can get infos & help regarding the man best friend.

So many topics and......Malaysia BOLEH!! CoolShocked

I was a dog lover myself Tongue. When I'm still schooling, my 1st dog was a boxer but poor Ringo passed away of kidney failureFrown. Actually, the owner is my father friend cum business partner who stay with us. In fact, he was not a responsible ownerMad, we are the one who took care of Ringo. He was having a big party @ home when we(dad, mom, bro & me) went to visit grandma in KL. Ringo must have taken a lot of BBQ stuffs and lack of water & then....Frown. Later, we have this lil local puppy but he went missing later....Frown.

Now, this doggy thing all started when my wife & me become weekend "owner" of 2 Yorkshire Terriers(female one called Piyu & male one called Didi) own by my wife's bro for the last 2 weekend. Its like we borrowed the 2 lil things to doggy-sit and play with over the weekend. They are REALLY cute and adorable. From then onwards, my wife are crazyCrazy of them esp Didi. She always looking fwd to see them again and miss Laughthem like hell. We were kind off wanting to get one for our own....

I know that it is easy to get a dog but great responsibilities to take care of them.Unimpressed

Myself & my wife work from 9-5 & nobody at home, can we rare a dog then ? Is Yorkshire terrier OK ?Unsure

This are one of the main question I had in mind.Unimpressed

Btw, anyone owner to Yorkshire Terrier or other such Toy Breed ?

Anyway, I will search the web for more infos. Will also post if any questions ?

Great to be here.Wink

gtg.bye.

Re: [gkoon] My Wife love Yorkshire Terrier

Hi, gkoon!

It's nice to have dog lovers gather here always.

Puppy needs a lot of attention as they grow up stage by stage...i'm not sure about toy breed, but both my medium and large breed dogs are attention grabber! I have a Mixed-Rottweiler and a Dalmatian. As puppy needs to be taught and train, i would say you need someone to be there for them when they are barking and asking for attention. They might be boring or hungry when no one is around. I would suggest, if you reallly really wants to get a dog for your wife, maybe you could prepare a small house to put it in, feed it in the morning and leave some food in the cage while you are out. When you come back, just feed it again. Then let it out to play around when you are around. You would only need the house when both of you are not around.

Hope this helps!

Hope this helps!

Re: [gkoon] My Wife love Yorkshire Terrier

Hi there,
Welcome to the forum. As for yorkshire they are very nice little dog. They are only attach to one or two people. They don't really listen to everyone in the member of the family. Anyway i have a friend with a few yorkshire. :).
Oh if you are going to leave them for that long i think is wise to get 2 pup together so that they can keep themself company. If not my advise to you is don't keep them. Go and visit your bro in law yor when you miss them. That will be more practical. Don't buy a dog on an impulse or the poor little dog will suffer.
Till then cheers.

Regards,
kelly
