Hello, I'm Serene and new to this site. I love forums and would love to know more about my 'son' JD. He's a Yellow Labrador 10 months old now and in 2 months I will be throwing him a birthday party at the East Coast Beach in Singapore at Sit Cafe with his fellow doggie friends. Isn't that exciting. I'm also going to buy party hats for him and his friends. Together we'll spend the afternoon drinking and JD is going to get a birthday cake - so will his friends.
BTW, I signed on using my son's name. I'm Singaporean and keen to chit chat with you guys to learn more about my first love.
Singaporeans are lucky to have many dog friendly facilities ranging from dog parks to cafes. There's a big crowd here with labradors. So you are in good company. BTW, what does your furkid 's "J.D" initials stands for?

By the way, we have quite some Members from S'pore too. Yazi is the one i know with a Golden Retriever named Bean.

yes.. great sense of deduction. my husband parties quite a bit and thought it would be good to call him JD and he really looks like a JD. JD is a very boy name for a handsome boy like him.

its so nice u can bring JD everywhere in S'pore.. Is he welcomed everywhere??? or also just selected places??? It's a bit tricky bringing out the dogs here though.....
there are designated places where I can bring JD. I bring him to Orchard Road for walks, we sit at Starbucks for coffee and he gets iced-cold water while chasing the birds around.
we've brought him to coffee bean tea leaf too. they are ok with pets.... well at least they didn't chase us away... that's good. other than that, at parks but must be careful of other muslims around, must shortern his leash.
unlike the states, i once saw a man bring his dog to the bank and a girl in LA brought her dog to the shopping centre. isn't that nice.
hi hi... we're from JB so quite near to s'pore ah... happy birthday to JD!! my shih tzu also celebrates his birthday every year. well, we can't bring him out so have to stay at home and just invite some friends over.... lucky JD!! can go starbucks...
so JD will b turning 1 in two months time huh. JD is so lucky to have an owner like u, not all dogs get the same treatment. well, mine will b turning 1 year old too this coming october but still thinking how to celebrate >Thomas<
hmm unfortunately i'm from selangor(msia), but i can take him to Kuala Selangor. the thing is, it's kinda difficult to take dogs out in malaysia >Thomas<
Hi there, welcome. Thought that only houses can have medium to large breed. But also know that some people have medium breeds in apartments. Have not heard of any problems for them yet. Might want to check with SKC.
yes, I've been there. it's quite difficult to get there... and besides, the ambience there is different from the one at the beach. my preference is for SIT cafe.
