Hi everyone!!

I chanced upon this portal at a google search, and took such interest in its discussions and the commitment of its members, that I've signed up on the spot!

I've always wanted to own a dog, and am only seriously looking at getting one now. I used to have a dog around the house a long time back which was a white spitz, and he was a darling. After Lucky passed on, my mom never did wanted a dog around anymore cos it was too much work taking care of it.

Anyways, I'm a big girl now, and reckon it's time i take on the responsibility myself. Owning a dog requires full time commitment, therefore I wanna do it right the first time! So after endless research, me and my bf have decided to go for the fiesty Jack Russell Terrier.

I've read so many scary stories from purchasing puppies from a pet shop that I'm not even gonna consider that option. Which leaves me to the next best option, that is via a breeder. Can anyone tell me where do I go to look for a reputable and non-enterprising Wink

breeder of JRTs in the Klang Valley?

Welcome to the forum.

To get a list of breeder of JRT, call MKA at for the contact of some of the active breeder. Check with them on the availability of puppies. Make a visit to them to see their kennel establishment and to view the Sire and Damn of the pup.

So you have your heart set on a Jack Russell Terrier (JRT) huh? It's a good start you have did your research into the types of dog breed to match your lifestyle and temperment. JRTs are very active dogs who just LOVES to the outdoors. I have several friends who are JRT owners and boy are they fit or what! Why? Cos' everyday they trek/walk/jog 5kms with their JRTs, rain or shine. Smile

As for list of JRT breeders, the best place is to call MKA office at 03-7729 2027 / 7822 for a referral list. Since they maintain litter registration, they can also tell you who has just registered a new litter of JRT puppies (if any). One thing though, please do NOT ask them for pricing of the JRT puppies. Their job is to register the purebreed dogs, not to keep a list of market prices. This info was related to me personally by the office people in MKA. Thought I just share this info with you.

soooo.. calling all JRT fans or breeders out there - if you've got any pups to spare, lemme know!! Psl feel free to also share funny / scary JRT stories!

BTW Moo, I'd sent an e-mail to MKA earlier.. still waiting for replies!

My only fear now is that my mom will throw a FIT when i bring home a puppy, and make me give it up!!

Get the pup and then train him yourself or join MKA Obedience Training. Your MOM will definitely love an obedient furkid.

Welcome to the forum...i'm sure that the JRT owner in this forum will be able to shre and help you on their experience and story. Do call MKA for a breeder list.
