well, I'm not sure if this is a good idea but here goes.
I was thinking..since there's an adoption booth for SPCA and PAWS, do you think it's ok to have one for Dr. Hasnul's clinic too(for adoption purposes only) since his clinic rescues animals too? plus quite a number of members know him..
If they don't have thier equipment, could ask them to bring theirs? If it can't be done for this gathering..how about the next gathering?
Since it's going to be another biiig gathering on Sept 14, there is another suggestion...
A lot of you have probably read or heard about this lady, Mdm Kang, who has been dedicating her life on saving stray dogs. Last year, she was forced to vacate her house in Penang and now is near Taipin with her 80-something furkids.
From what I read from newspaper articles, she has pretty much spent all her EPF savings on dogs. Some of the members in this forum in the "dog rescue" section were coming up with plans to send some donation and stuff to her, and since the next gathering is coming up in 10 days time, would it be possible to ask everyone to donate anything they can to help her at the gathering?
The thing is, she's in Perak and we're in Klang Valley and I'm not sure how we can send the stuff to her (if it's financial contribution, we can always bank in the money in her account, but dog food and all??)
Does anyone have any suggestion? Thanks
p.s. Our names in the participants list are repeated in no. 26 and no. 59... not that it matters, but just noticed it...

1. All participating dogs should be in good physical condition, leashed and under the control of its master at all times. No vicious, unmanageable or ill animal will be allowed to participate.
2. Dog owners are requested to make use of designated pet relief areas along the route in Central Park and be responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
3. The AKC RDO day will take place rain or shine.
4. Parking will be available in the open parking lots of 1 Utama Open Car Park that are just opposite the entrance to the park. Signs will be posted directing participants to the appropriate lots.
5. The organizers reserve the rights to disqualify any owner or animal from participation and is not responsible for any damages incurred to pet, owner, participants or passer-by.
6. Your dog must be leashed and under your control at all times during the event.
7. Female dogs in heat will have to wait till another dog walk event!
8. Please, bring only dogs that enjoy the company of other dogs and people, and those which are not aggressive. Sorry, only dogs that have never bitten anyone may participate.
9. In the event your veterinarian's office is not open on Sundays, and your dog needs immediate care, we will provide a listing with directions & contact information for the animal clinics/hospitals closest to the park.

Donation box will be provided to the public for donation to local shelters. Booths for SPCA and PAWS are provided by the organizer, puppy.com.my free of charge to help them raising awareness for the resonpsible dog ownership.

TQ for organising this event, puppy.com committee! It's quite an undertaking and I can only imagine the amount of planning and organisation involved!! Sounds like it'll be a blast!! :)
If the dogs are not licensed and does not have the identification tags issued by the relevant authorites, does that mean the we cannot bring the dogs to socialize on that day? Does this also mean that you cannot participate in the events/games. Need further clarification on this as I am sure there are many members who will also be facing this problem.
