Rent-A-Pet, opinion? Can't Post

I came across this business/concept while watching TV and later looked in up online. Some people have said that it is cruel to the animals, but there have been positive view too. Businesses like these have been blooming in Japan, and have started to be set up in Hong Kong and California. Just wanted to know what the pet lovers here think about this concept and how would you feel if someone started a business like that in Malaysia?

Just watched a HK drama series "When a dog loves a cat". They have similar concept but much to charity "business". The Rent-A-Pet service is offered by the charity organization to rent the rescued dogs / cats / pets before they managed to re-home the animals. If the "customer" likes the rented pet, they can adopt them. A pretty good concept.
