Alpha Rolling and Flooding question

Good evening fellow forumers,

Could someone please give me a little bit of information on 'alpha rolling' and 'flooding'? Is it good or dangerous?

Looking forward to your reply. TQ

Re: [jello] Alpha Rolling and Flooding question

Alpha rolling - antiquated practice based on an erroneous notion that wolves "roll" one another to prove dominance. Fact: Subordinate wolves SUBMIT by exposing their belly - there is NO rolling of a superior animal inflicted on a submissive. It is a dangerous practice that has resulted in people being bitten for no good reason.

Flooding - overwhelming a dog with stimulus to create a change in behavior.

Hope I helped.
