peeing frequently Can't Post

Good morning,

I noticed that Yoda was peeing more than usual yesterday, not only that, but his pee is near colorless, usually it'll b like yellow. Quantitiy evacuated is also more than usual and also more watery than usual. Also all of a sudden he seemed to have fogotten the paper training lessons we went truh together.

Yoda is not under any medication at this point of writing.

Just read a thread "Bladder Infection?" That scares me.

He's due for his second vaccination this evening, at the same time I'll tell the vet his peeing issue and see wat she has to say. However I was hoping to get some responses from the forum b4 I make way to the vet later this evening.
Cheers!

hi there,
could it be your Yoda has been taking too much water and cause frequent pees?Tongue
I was told dogs are like human, if the pee is yellowish, meaning they are dehydrated, & vice versa.
I couldn't think of a puppy got bladder infection but its good to have him check.
Pls let me know if he is ok?

OK, my shih tzu SUnnie has the exact problem a few months back. We reduce her protein intake and cook for her. It could be too much protein in her diet and it's straining her kidney. After 2 weeks of monitoring SUnnie's diet, her pee went back to normal.

Re: [archer] peeing frequently [In reply to] Can't Post

hi archer,

that happens to some puppies - they might develop a fever after a vaccination. That's because the vaccination is actually not medicine. It's actually a whole lot of 'good' virus being introduced to the puppy's body. Sometimes they get fever but for SParkle's case, he's getting a bit of rash. But the vet said it's nothing to be worried about. But if Yoda continues to be like that, you'd have to go back to the vet to get him some antibiotics. Smile

hope this helps! Wink
