Hi Kurt, welcome. Glad to have another Beagler aboard. Your avatar looks like you have an army of Beagles or is that how she sounds when she barks, heheheh. Surchinmy is right, forget the muzzle. Beagles are so friendly the worst they will do is lick you to death. And it wont stop the barking, anyway. It is strange but I seem to have rather quiet Beagles. My guess is that they get enough exercise, have toys to chews, space to live in and each others company. In fact I exercise them quite a lot and hell breaks loose if for some reason I cant take them out. If you are very busy, I would suggest you take her out for 15 minutes to sniff around, in the morning before work and another 30 minutes for a nice walk in the evenings. I even sneak my puppies into the tennis court to run around for a while if it is unoccupied, heheheh. Well, at least one hour without any barking when they are panting away, hahahah. Seriously, Beagles are very active dogs and need an outlet for all that energy. Do you stay in a condo? Actually a garden isn't necessary, I think. You cant leave them there cos they may get stolen, they probably would turn the garden into a quarry if you do and you need to take them out anyway. But it would be ideal if they had some living space. It may not be a good idea to let her roam freely when you are out cos Beagles are avid chewers especially when bored. Maybe you can leave her in a dog-proofed room or a fenced corner. Mine are in the indoor garden where they can stretch their legs without causing any damage. Good luck, J
