I've a few question that I hope someone could shed some light on it.
First of all I've just adopted another Mongrel (mixed breed Shih Tzu) and she's only about 7-8 weeks old.
1. I plan bring her for a vaccination jab this weekend. I've read some old thread and here's some info that I've got, please correct me if I'm wrong.
a) The first jab should be on 7th or 8th week which is parvovirus vaccination (Can I go for 6-in-1 jab?) (How much?)
b) 2nd jab will be one month later which is distemper vaccine? (How much?)
c)3rd jab will be one month later after the 2nd jab which include leptopspirosis vaccine and other vaccines? (how about 6-in-1 jab?) (How much?)
d) 4th jab and so on will be the annual booster jab. (How much?)
2. I've heard of 6-in-1, 7-in-1 and even 10-in-1 vaccination, is it for the annual booster vaccination or we can give our furkid as 1st,2nd,3rd jab? For those who have vacinnated their furkid, would u mind to share how much is the price for the jab and which VET? TQVM
3. I search the web and I found this website- Department of Veterinary Services and I found this clinic - Klinik Veterinar UPM at Persiaran Barat PJ, is this the goverment VET? Will the vaccination and treatment charge of this clinic cheaper than those private one? TQVM
4. Any recommended VET at Klang area who charge resonable price of vaccination and consultation/treatment?
Thanks a million in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------ -Brownie- Mongrel (Mixed Finnish Spitz) -Baby- Mongrel (Mixed Shih Tzu)
1st jab advisable 6 in 1..around 6-8 weeks. parvovirus only given by breeder to save cost n it ommits lots of illness prevention. ur pup still prone to coronavirus, kennel cough n distemper..all these r deadly.
2nd jab go for 6 in 1 also...to boost her immune better
3rd jab, 6 in 1 also...last dose...visit the vet for jabs again nex year from this date.
depending on which vet u go...total for all 3 jabs ranged from rm80- rm200 depending on the vet again. the cheapest per dose of 6 in 1 cost rm25 in penang
yes u can...well it'll at least prevent ur pups from getting unwanted n deadly diseases...just bath ur dog before u send it for a jab coz ur dog'll not be able to bath a week after the jab.
juz start from 1st jab n ask for at least a 6 in 1...not a parvovirus...it's cheaper but useless
for 1st jab..maybe u can preapare more...in case..around RM100....subsequently u can ask the vet right? it better to carry more tahn to feel ashamed there right?
i had finally brought kinki to have her vaccine this morning. but i wish to have a vet that come to my house with reasonable prices. can you help me? btw, i'm staying at pj.

This hasn't got anything to do with your question, but I just had to say something... I used to have a mixed Finnish Spitz called Brownie too! It was just too much of a coincidence not to mention it! lol.
my golden retriever puppy is 8 weeks old. she has had her 1st jab when she was 6 weeks when she was still with the breeder, she was slso dewormed.
i wasn wondering if we should do the 6in one jab when she 9 weeks. her next jab is only due on 27th sept. she has mild runny nose which i think this is due to she sleeps in her crate in our room that is air cond, we have covered her crate with towel but i think she is cold lah.
i have spoken to a vet in UPM clinic and she said i should keep her in the house until 3rd october then get her 6in 1 shot. is this advisable? she is eating well, her stool is ok. she is also very active. should i wait till 3rd oct or send her this weekend to the vet to get her shot?
i can't bring her out of my condo and i think she is upset. i can only bring her for walks outside when she has her vaccination. i think she has worms now as she is a bit skinny and keeps on licking her butt. is is possible to dewormed her without getting the 6 in 1 jab?
You should follow the Vet instruction. I'm not in a position to tell you what to do cause I not a Vet. For the running nose, you should also bring your GR to see Vet. I think the Vet will tell you what is best for your pup.
