It costs approximately RM10,000.00 to RM12,000.00 to organise just an ordinary All Breed Championship Dog Show with local judges. When there is a foreign judge passing by, it is slightly higher because we have to foot his hotel bills and air-fare differences.
When you said, you envied us for having so many, please do consider the following:
(1) There are some 3500 active members in MKA West Malaysia.
(2) Only about 150 to 200 members are hard-core exhibitors.
(3) The entry for every show is about 200+ dogs at an average of RM35.00 entrance fee, which represents already RM7,000.00
(4) We could travel 250 miles in about 4-5 hours with our highways.
(5) Almost all our shows are sponsored by Cooperates such as Alpo, Science Diets Purina.
If you have this type of support in Sarawak and the numbers. I am sure it is also possible.

i m interested in the kl show on 8 sept... it's a bit early, yes i know... but i m kiasu-lah.... where do i get the details? venue? how to attend? & such.... just so excited about shows now... looking forward to your reply... Smile

p/s i will also try to make it to padang merbuk on sundays to have a visit to u guys. is everyone usually there on sundays? Smile

The AKU show last year was held in Plaza Phoenix and the coming AKU show on Sept 8, 2002 will be held at Selayang Mall. The show will start normally at 9.00am.

This coming Sunday, I will be Padang Merbok, Arthur will surely be there, LES may be there, I guess.
