Anyway arthur, here is my chowchows pup pic n can u pls help me on that ??? Thanx u very much n have a plesant days, Cheers !!!
If your schnauzer is called "Ray" then YES! we have already met!
The lady with the shih tsu called "Brownie" is Berverly who is my wife's friend. Let me see if I can still recall all the names of the schnauzers gathered last evening.. Starting from me we have "Pepper", "Lee Sha" and "Lee Ron". Then Joonkeat with "Ray", Andy with "Harvey", Voon with "Teddy" and one more female schnauzer called "Nikki". Total: 7 schnauzers! Wo hoo!
I remember when we first started at the Padang it was only "Pepper" and one other male schnauzer there. Later on, he dropped out leaving only "Pepper" alone. Glad to see more of us now.
I have to redirect yr photo request to our webmaster Khoobg. (Thanks Les for your kind reply rdgin this matter on my behalf)
As for Schnauzers, Yup! I am your man! My female is a dark salt n pepper with LOTS of thick curly hair. My wife grooms her almost every weekend or else she'll loose her "Schnauzer" look!
May I ask why you are looking for ones wz thick fur?
Oh no no.... I am not a schnauzer owner..hahhaha well my gf own a shih tzu "Teddy"
Her name is Lisa. I guess Berverly will remember her. Teddy was the one that Brownie get over-excited when we all beginning to part. And then if I am not wrong, there is one guy telling us Brownie the Hornie. Hahhaha (pls...dun get mad that I posted here!) Is that you?
The female Schnauzer's "Nikki" owner, owned another shih tzu "Uky" (is it spell like this?).
I was just standing there looking around while my gf chatting with the rest of shih tzu owners. Hahhaha What a dogmania gathering huh?
Oh by the way, did you get mix up with us? >>>Then Joonkeat with "Ray", Voon with "Teddy" <<< maybe its the other way round???
In the schnauzer group, I saw one that has cropped ears. Is it one of yours? The rest is all down. I saw a lady holding him/her. But I am not sure.
Sorry-lah! I got you confused with another chap who has "Ray" the male salt n pepper schnauzer. And yes, that was me who called Brownie the Horny! I do remember Beverly talking to another lady wz a shih tzu. Guess that must be your girlfriend right?
The lady holding the schnauzer with the cropped ears is my wife Sharon. The schnauzer is "Lee Ron" our 8 mths old black n silver puppy. His brother "Teddy" is in the same basic training class with him!
Wokay then, let's try and meet up again this coming Sunday...
Would love to join you all but unfortunately I will be away for two weeks starting tomorrow for a holiday.
I actually passed by Padang Merbuk last Sunday while dropping off a friend in PJ Old Town. I saw a lot of cars parked by the roadside. Wanted to drop by but didn't bring my pup. Just wonder if we are allowed to go without bringing a doggy along? ENG Proud owner of George, a male pug puppy Born: 10/3/02

Happy holidays! Waahh..wish I can escape away for 2 weeks like you. I know one girl who took her schnauzer up and down Pennisula Malaysia
Will George be going along for the holidays as well?
As for dropping by at the Padang, anyone is welcome. No need to bring a dog along. Personally, I recommend folks that are still deciding which breed to adopt, to drop by the padang and see for themselves the different types of dogs. Most owners are friendly and wouldnt mind sharing some tips or pointers about their breeds.
The answer to your question rdging mix breed pup for training is a definite YES!
To enrol in the training classes, you'll need to be a MKA member. Pay your membership fees and put your name down for the next training courses (begining in Sep/Oct I think). Easiest thing to do is to visit the website at http://www.mka.org.my Most of the information U need to know about obedience training can be found there.
Besides training and bonding with our canine buddies, one can also expand one's circle of friends! I know mine has especially with fellow dog owners!
No, I don't bring George along this time but maybe next time. I am going back to Sabah (my hometown). If I were to bring him back, then he would have to travel by plane. Don't really know how to go about getting a doggy on a plane. Anyone??
I will leave him with my dad in-law. My dad in-law has a 3 yo mini pin (male) named Lucky. Both Lucky and Georgie get along very well. **sigh of relief** I will surely miss him more than I miss my another half. ENG Proud owner of George, a male pug puppy Born: 10/3/02
Wah..don't let your better half read this..that you'll miss George more than you'll miss her!
Travelling by air with live animals in Msia is possible but I don't think George would be allowed in the passenger cabin. Most likely he'll be in a special crate located down in aft cargo compartment. That compartment is heated and is suitable for livestock. Airlines have transported live chicks that way. Most made it thru the journey.
There's also the issue of quarantine for live animals from Pennisula Msia. All in all, I can see yr reason for not bringing George along this trip.
Wah!!! You guys were so enjoying in meeting up at Padang Merbok, yea!!! May be I would like to join too because previously I was at JB and there was no such an activity. But, now I am living around Klang and I hope I could plan some time to visit your "Doggie Meeting'' on every Sunday. Anyway, could anyone tell me where Padang Merbok is located? Are there any boxers in the training and what are the schedule for that day? I love to see them, especially a place that gather different types of breeds. Thanks.
Regards

You're welcome to join us! Since you're from Klang I reckon the easiest way is to use the Federal Highway heading towards KL. Exit the highway at the Jalan 222 flyover and turn right under the flyover and head towards Assunta Hospital rounabout. Cut aross the roundabout (12 o'clock) and follow the road till you come to another roundabout. You are now within sight of the Padang Merbuk. Take a left at the roundabout and immediately keep right cos' you'll be making a right turn at the 1st junction you see. Make the right turn, go to the stop sign and make another right turn. Follow the road which now slope downwards and at the shops, turn right to park your car at the open space. And that's it! You're at the padang merbuk. Best time to come is round 4.30pm. That way you can see the training classes in progress and still can find parking space!
Oh yes, there's some Boxers around but not many. You'll see a lot of GSD, Rotties, Labs, Golden Retreviers, Shih Tsus and now slowly building up..Mininature Schnauzers!
hi jason, I know how to go there..but after reading the instructions, I'm a bit blurred also .. Sorry Arthur , but Arthur, u did ur best to explain to him, and I'm delighted we have very helpful members here
Anyway, since u r new to KlangValley, why not but the map book? It's pretty comprehensive. It's handy to have one in the car.
If you are travelling from Klang along Federal Highway, take the Jalan 222 Exit road and turn right into Jalan Templer.
As you travel along Jalan Templer straight all the way, you will pass by the first Roundabout, then the 2nd one and Padang Merbok is just on your left if you pass the third roundabout straigth (you should not go straight :-) ). You must turn left when you reach the 3rd roundabout to get into Padang Merbok.
