Utility Group Chapter MKA	Can't Post

Greetings all Utility Group dog lovers esp MKA dog lovers,

Hi all .... i have always wanted to set up a utility group chapter in the ......justed wanted to know the reaction of the people who would like to show in this group .

Objective :

To promote the breeds in this group.

To share knowledge and information with all members .To upgrade the standards of the breeds in utility group .

To organize shows for the group esp for utility dogs and to get good judges to judge this shows .

To foster friendship and have fun among members .

These are some of my thoughts for forming the Utility Group Chapter ....give me your thoughts and suggestions.,

Give me some feedback on whether you would join etc etc

Cheah Lim, I just tot of this. Why don't we combine the Utility and Toy Group.
At least the grouping would be sizeable and the dogs in the group are more or less similar in size. I know there are many dog show kakis who have utility and toy dogs.

If we were to hold a speciality show we need at least 40 dogs (not so sure) so with the combine group we might be able to achieve that .

so what are u basically plan to do? are you planning to write some article on the utility group or u wanted to have a show on the ulitity group. Anyhow you can count me in

Hi CheahLim,

Great idea! Let's see if we can make this work. However, can we actually have a breed chapter that consists of multiple breeds? Valid objective points you have listed out. We can like even have a member's list so that canine related info/matters can be quickly sent out to the chapter members, so everyone can be in the loop and no last minute thingys..

greetings all and good morning.......

Thanks for the response and good suggestions....emmmmmm two groups in one might be interesting too ..but i guess in chapters its either the same breed or groups .Anyway I am do some checking and bench marking from my overseas friends . .... I am planning to get the bylaws from MKA in terms of setting up a group/breed chapter ??...can anyone of you try to get it for me ?? Arthur / Derrick ......and then send it to me ?? I guess it will be faster when you see them face to face .

Well bascially what I plan to do with members help is to organize talks - eg grooming, handling , comformation talk on the group so that when one becomes a judge or are judge , they really know what to look for , shows, of course that is how we can improve the quality of the breed and invite specialist judges to judge and give critique of the dogs ...... some plans and it gonna need time and money and support from members &MKA .I CANNOT WORK ALONE ...incidentially i have spoken to one of the unofficially elected MKA committtee , Robert Dog (oops Kau i mean Wink

, as Kau in hokkien is DOG )and he has shown interest and support . I think there will be lots of people with snauzers , shih tzu, dalmations , chows etc etc in Malaysia ...ultimate is to have a utility speciality show !!!with lots of good judges and prizes ..so we need to look for sponsors, or is that MKA's job..or rather the CE0's job ???We have to pull our resources .

Okay for now ...let us keep this alive ... thanks ,so let us make out talk walk .

Target is to get all the proposals and approval out by end of Sept 2003 ...currently busy with work , litters comings, grooming , housekeeping etc etc etc and more importantly currently organizing a charity tea party/collecting funds also for the children(70) of an orphanage home that was burned down in Penang.... am calling it Cheah Lim & Friends With A Heart Smile
