Fruit Juice	Can't Post

Hi!

I was just wondering whether it's ok to give dogs fresh fruit juice. No sugar added and all that. Ah Kow seems to like watermelon juice so just want to see if it's ok for her to have some.

Errmm.. better not.. after all they still eat meat....

Why juice when they can enjoy the fruits? i think they prefer the crunchyness of biting the fruits like apple, waermelon, guava....

HAHHAH!! Yeah.. no problem.. but watch out on the fruits you give...

I would not recomend Papaya or Watermelon... had bad experience on my dog once... avoid it if you can...

My Lil' Monster ate apple and orange before. No problem with his stool. Actually his orange includes part of the peel, which he swallowed as well... greedy boy... Smile

i feed odie watermelon and he's fine with that..giving grapes to your doggie might not be that good...and as for juices, they might get stomach discomfort from that and i give odie 'leung char'..without anything added..no sugar,no salt no nuthing..yeah,i wanna eliminate some heat from his body.. i let them try b4 apple juice. But same like other member i prefer give them of biting fruit .
Some doggie cant take certain fruit, after take the fruit will " LAU SAI " eh lei. so try to give them little bit 1st. Smile

Well actually the peel thingy is kind of an experiment to see how greedy he is.

Guess the answer is a bit obvious. Smile

Actually he was given a seedless grape to try as well. Those small little ones. He looked at it suspiciously. Nibbled at it, jumped about as if trying to attack it, then nibbled at it again and the jumped around again, and kept repeating it until he finally ate it. Wierd, an wild attacking instinct... in a Pekingese?!

Since we are on the topic of fruits, here's what my mini-schnauzers have eaten so far: Apples, oranges, pears, lychees, durian, persimmons, watermelons, longan, papayas, pamelos, grapes, mangoes, rambutans, honeydew, guavas, ...

Veges: Carrots, lettuce, cucumber, aspharagus, celery, green peppers, red peppers, turnips, longbeans. (All raw)

No-no stuff: Anything oily, spicy and bananas.. (These will cause them to throw up!)

What can I say? My furkids are a greedy bunch! Smile

Anyway, Ah Kow has a thing for wierd stuff. She's eaten tissue, scotch tape (stole it when I was wrapping something), tiny bugs, chilli.... Crazy

Quite a health hazard so I'm trying to keep her on more healthy stuff... Unsure
