hi there,

since the last gathering was on the 6th of July and after that i totally forgot about that we did had a gathering this month and was complaining to the SYT aunties that how come this month no gathering !!!

So, the aunties and not to forget the uncles and me had come up with another gathering this month again ...

Date : 27th July (Sunday)

Time : 9a.m. as usual

Venue : KK as usual

what say you people out there ? any comments and suggestions ? some people had suggest that we have BBQ on that day. And this time we got to make sure everyone gather around and do the intro section and this job will go to Aunty Ming Yang ! Wink

You should proposed a budget and tell us how much per person, how much per doggie and would it be FOC for pup below 6 months....

Then "volunteers-group" can collect money and prepare the food, then should they have free food for themselves.

Hope we have the CAFE soon to cater for outings la~ Angelic

so is the bbq confirmed? but wouldn't be a little hot in the morning to have a bbq?

perhaps in the evening instead?

The date for the next gathering should be ok but BBQ,ah??? In the morning?? Doesn't sound so right... But if you say "bah kut teh" then different, la ... he..he..just joking

Maybe the crowd just pay and eat, but the volunteers to prepare and distribute food?? like a buffet style BBQ party~ and the doggies all in the field for Agility.

Yah ... but who is going to sacrifice sitting there bbq'ing for all this ppl. ... And distributing it to them ... Unless everybody play their part ...

1) Help to come up with $$ to buy the food

2) BBQ yourself if you wanna eat

yeah it is defintely going to be better is somesort of payment is made..otherwise...as u know malaysians like to take and not give punya...

here is what i suggest:

5.30PM: Arrival of members and doggies
6.00PM: Start firing up those charcoals
6.30PM: Some light activity (maybe get to know each other?)
6.50PM: Makan time!!..whack ar...
End: when the moon is round....where u can see all doggies transform to WEREWOLVES...maybe some human also transform.

Cost: RM5 - RM 10 per head..enuff?

What say u all??..suggestions suggestions...

guys,

you have to remember that the KK is a park and there is lots of people who goes there for a jog. This is especially so during the weekends on the evening ! we can't afford to let the dogs to loose if we were to have the gathering in the evening.

The reason why most of the gathering is in the morning - 9 am was so that we all could avoid the crowd (eps... some group) and to be able to let our dogs run loose.

Intro thingy, i propose that we go by breed ! for example :

MS group - Arthur
pug group - Mr khoo
Labs - Boon or Kangser
golden - hunter
Shih Tzu - CY
Minpin group - me
DLL group - Michelle

In this way, few of us get a chance to go on 'stage' mar and share to workload. ( arthur did most of the job the last time round ! i feel so guilty liao for putting him up but then again i know he enjoys it the most hehehe )

ying,
we shd starts to collect a bit of entrance fees adi ! no fair to let the same old people bring food all the time. In this way, when we group the money round at least we get to buy more foodstuff to eat. The last time i bought the cream puff and all gone before i even got one bite ! hehehe

i don't really think that the BBQ is a good idea in a sense that it is in the morning! Tongue

very hot as that is the time the sun wakes up from it's bed ! at night it's really impossible cuz there are people jogging around there and we can't let our dog to go loose and such! so anymore suggestions from other people of what you guys wanna do or eat?

ya a very good idea. but, if we seperate according to breed isn't it gonna be time consuming ? what about seperating them by groups like gundog

How about this??

Pay to get a ticket and redeem for food?

the food is GRILLED food prepare by "volunteers" (BBQ need not be chicken wings mar... just burgers and hotdogs, grilled vege, potatoes, corns, buns, cookies and cakes--- less varieties but enough to fill up the stomach) make it as buffet style with "servers" (volunteers again~ for free food), the MEAL time could be in an hour limited food-serving time. Whoever paid the food can redeem at the "site" and whoever just drop by for dog-social, they can choose not to buy the TICKET so for NO-FOOD, purely doggie-social-day.

By this, fair enough to everyone, u want the food, u buy the ticket (buy ahead or at spot) and show it to redeem food, ONE ROUND. You don't go for the food, u pay nothing and enjoy the social.

Sounds good to everyone? Wink

Hi all,

I like this idea. Mainly cause I don't usually eat at such outings but don't want to miss out on a rare Sunday gathering. My furkids do pretty much as they please and that includes their poo-poo! Blush

Hence I don't relish the fact of picking up after them and then walloping some franks or burger. Yuk! The tickets however I feel should be purchased or at least confirmed in advanced so that the organizers know exactly how much food to prepare. If a walk-in style is utilized some people might be a bit disgruntled should the food run out. That's about two cents worth I think ya? Sly

Hie,

FYI, there will be a obedience trial and match show being held on the same day which is 27th of july. If i'm not mistaken, Arthur will be taking part and maybe Mr Khoo.

great idea..... why don't we make it like a snack box? each box/bag consists of a small mineral H2o/packet drink, serviettes, chicken nuggets, sandwich & some carrot sticks for our fur kids or some other finger foods? finished eating.... just put everything back into box/plastic bag n throw into bin. much cleaner than having lots of people walking around throwing things everywhere.....

i don't mind helping wit the packing & selling of food...

just a little idea

well, good idea u got there. but the problem is how are we going to make sure people who paid will get the food and people who didn't pay will not get the food ? we need peopel to stand there for the whole gathering to collect the food ticket from them and such le... a bit hard rite as they probably want to socialise as well, rite? well, i dunno la just that's my opinion lo!
