Why Do PEoPLe HaTE AniMals?	Can't Post

Before I join this forum, I thought in this world, most of the people are cruel, I meant animal haters. I've met not much people but only 1 of them love dog. Imagine in 100 people only 1 person who really love animals, it means only 1% in a circle. I'm proud of my dear friend, she's now in UPM to further her studies in veterinary medicine. I wish to be one but not all dreams come true.
I really hate it when people say they dislike dogs...or any other animals. Since i was small i already have great feelings for animals. they are better than human being, not so tricky, they are innocent...cute..adorable.
Many people hate animals, one of them is my sister in law. everytime she comes to my house, she'll make my dog cage up in the room. it's so cruel. she'll scream n jump whenever my dog go near to her. imagine my cute little puppy..being kicked..scolded. heartbroken, but i can't do anything because she is still elder, i have to respect her.
i treat my dogs like my own children. I have a dream, to gather all the stray dogs, but it's beyond my limit because i'm still young, perhaps i'll do it when i'm older, and financially stable.
My landlady too hates dog. she'll pour water and yell at one whenever it pass her house or stray there. how i pity those dogs. once i wish that i can understand animal language like Dr Dolittle.. How i wish upon a star..

it really depend to everyone experience.. it is impossible to expect everyone in this world have the same mind, isnt it?

well, sometime i can understand why people hate animal( u mean all animal or dog only? )..there must be some bad or sad experience impacted to them before, or feel fear toward something they dont know..can u image everywhere in your house were mouse,crow? how about those whom their family member killed by the dog(still remember those cases happened a few years ago?)

i dont dare to expect everyone love animal, as long as they dont abuse animal , that's enough though

Sad to hear that you only encouter 1% of dog lovers from surrounding.

I must say that I'm so lucky to be brought up from an animal-loving (not cat)family. Cos my dad was brought up from a pet-loving family too. My dad kept a monkey before when he was a teen. He also very into birds, squirrels, dogs, rabbits, fish.... My dad built cages for birds and squirrels.... now the big cage for birds is to lock my dog up when there's visitor came is. But the cage is huge that my dog can roam around in it... there's a fruit tree planted in the cage that my dog can take a rest under the shade while waiting the guests to leave. Then we have a squirrel house but not keeping any in it now.

Mmmm....long story to tell.

Just to let you know... there's still many dog-lovers around us. We need to initiate the chance to meet them and to socialise our dogs. If your neighborhood and relatives are not that welcoming your dog... you still have the option to bring him out to meet real dog-lovers. We cannot change others perspective on pets/dogs, but we can initiate to make changes for your dogs, a better way to raise and keep them.

hi chezzen,
i know how you feel as I once have the same dream like yours. Keeping all the stray dogs and love them. Maybe one day, we can join venture and make it possible. But in order to do that, we have to be rich. And in order to be rich, we have to be materialistic. And when we are materialistic, we couldn't be bother about other animals.
Sad isn't it?

Hihi,

I think not all animals haters will act like ur landlady bcos they may divide into few group of 'hate'.

1. Really animals hater.They jz cant let any animals around them, they'll try any way to make the animals disappear. They might hit or kick the animals to make sure they'll running away.

2. Some other animals hater might experienced scary memory like bitten by stray dogs, stung by bees, hurt by cat.. then thier mind will always keep alert to prevent get hurt again, they wun purposely chase away the animals but they'll keep their eyes to make sure the animal wun attack.

3. Then also got some of the ppl dun like animals bcos they think take care of animals are troublesome, waste money n time, they might not b able to survive themself, then how to keep animal? they might said they dun like animal but they still play or sayang with them when they meet 1.

There might got other type of animals hater but i think most of the ppl r like this. So if u really meet the 1st group ppl, then u better keep ur animals to a safe place bcos they might hurt our little, then if ur surrounding r belong to 2nd or 3rd group, i think u can share ur wonderful memory with them to let them know animals can b a gd fren, even 1 of the family member, this might help to reduce those animals abuse' cases.

hey chezzen,

same problem here.my sis-in-law hates dogs but not till the extend of harming them.she doesn't even want her childrens to like dogs.sigh..but hey..guess what..when she's not around,i would encourage her son to play with my 3 brats...muahaha..
