Big Stomach Issue *seriously need advice* Can't Post

Dear all members,

I have been consulting different doctors for my fur kid, but no good result. I do not want to name the doctors as quite disappointing me. They cannot even tell me 'generally' why is this happening or giving me any good suggestion.

is it so difficult or they really do not have experience handling cases like my fur kid's?

Name of fur kid: Jacky
Issue: Stomach is growing very big and hard. He loves to drink lot lot lot water, and the stomach grows even bigger each time after he drink water. He doesn't eat much lately, no appetite. he farts lot since his stomach is big.

this is his photo:http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/hs065.snc6/167515_192441527450350_100000535132903_649613_6847484_n.jpg

appreciate if any dog lovers happened to see such case before provide any suggestion and case study. Been study online as well but not much result, thanks

Have you allowed your veterinarian to do any radiographs, bloodwork or ultrasound? If you haven't then I'm sure that your veterinarian can not tell you what is causing your dog to have a large abdomen. I would greatly stress the importance of doing diagnostics on your dog. It could be ascites from heart failure or it could be a tumor in the abdomen or it could be blood from a ruptured tumor in the abdomen. In any case it is serious & he needs to have it figured out quickly. The fact that he is drinking a lot of water is a big concern as well. The abdomen gets bigger after he drinks because the stomach is filling with water. I really would recommend that you get him into a veterinarian TODAY to have diagnostics.

If that doctor does not think he needs them then I would find a doctor that does. If you are serious about this then I would recommend finding an internal medicine specialist to see. This is not free, but if you can not afford to get diagnostics done & treat the dog then you should seriously consider euthanasia as your dog is suffering.
