FLEA N TICKS KILLING DOG

There are something which i dont understand. I've seen many dog show and similar stuff held in a huge area covered with grass. The problem is, i'm afraid to bring my pup to go - to see or to attend it. I'm very very very super afraid that my pup is going to be infected by flea and ticks. I've brought a collar to put on for my pup for preventions, eventually this product will manage to scare away flea n ticks because of it's SMELL. But this product smell will not kill the flea or ticks, it only manage to do preventions. The product will went expired if the smell go day by day, i m afraid it's not strong enough to protect my puppy. Some ask me to do FRONTLINE spray whereby flea will die once they bite my pup, i know this cure alot of infected puppy, but i rather not to get my pup to be bite by flea (very itchy n lost blood) Yes, that product kill flea successfully, but my pup also infected n get itchy. Poor thing to see the furkid keep scratching n suffering. And flea also lay inside wall holes and lay egg, it's destroying the home. And sometimes bite human too. Indeed i'm very afraid of flea n ticks, i came in contact wif a few breeder friend which they own many type of dog in a open yard and let the dog run freely. It's good to see them having fun in the greenie, but after awhile when i manage to hold a lil pup in my hand, i saw alot alot alot alot of flea in the pup body! BITING the paw, hiding btw the finger n leg, near the tails n ear. I'm so sad to see the cute little pup covered with flea and i m heartbroken to see it's scratching like crazy. Dog that bitten by flea for a long period of time will soon end in a disaster to be infected wif flea poison. Anybody can let me know how to do preventions for my pup, and why do they held all this dog activities in the grass area when the fact they know it's killing the dog when they were infected wif flea. Thank you. I'm a new dog owner, hope to get more info :) Cheers, Berry XiaoMei
