the definition of a meal is, it is dry, ie moisture very low, not 100% pure meat, processed. AFFCO definition states that meal are inferior than lamb, chicken. etc. u see, dog food makers are doing all their best to confuse us. when they say lamb or chicken, they never use the word meat, y? cos its never 100% pure meat, altho they will say the meat content will be higher. And lamb, chicken etc, is always a wet ingredient , so other manufacturers who uses meal will say those who use, lamb chicken, is actually cheating, which is true, cos when they use lamb or chicken as the 1st ingredient, the weight counts, 1kg of wet chicken won't give u 1kg of dry chicken meat. but 1 kg of meal will almost give u 90% ++ of meal, cos its dry, but meal as we know is always lower in quality than lamb. chicken, so the ideal or perfect ingredient should be Dry Lamb meat, Dry chicken meat, etc, which doesn't contain water. so far no dog food maker has claim to use chicken meat, lamb meat. they only state lamb, chicken, etc, they don't dare to use the word meat at all. seeing nutro claiming to use Dry Lamb meat is really a surprise, cos that is suppose to be the best. but now their website states its all meal, and u say uve got their brochure which states meal as well. i think theyve down graded, not sure the reason, cos i can't seem to send mail to them tru their site, and they never provide email address. those nutro in the stores , which has dry meat i think its old stock.... No Buying! No Selling! No Breeding! Don't Lost your dogs!! Please make sure they are safe at home!
