Hello .. I have some questions about dog championships. Hopefully it's not too taxing.
Anyway, here I go ..
1. What is a dog championship? 2. How many categories are there? 3. How is a dog championship conducted? 4. What does a dog need to do before joining a championship? 5. Are there any "required" criteria to fulfill before a dog is eligible for a championship? 6. Lastly, what happens if your dog is a champion?
sorry for the trouble but hope someone can shed me some light on this.

Are there any "required" criteria to fulfill before a dog is eligible for a championship? First your dog must be register with MKA, Second of cause your dog must be of a show quality to participate if not chances of winning are slim. But there is no rules that you can't enter a pet quality dog in the showring. Most important the owner & the dog enjoy being together and get some experience in the showring. Don't take it serious about winning or losing. 6. Lastly, what happens if your dog is a champion? Agree with Amanda, Some ppls will use it to breed the dog and make $$$$ out of it. But some ppls will use it to improving their line or retired their champion dog & let them enjoying their life with the owner.
Ya , i agree wat did u say , dun care about win o lose , js enjoy .. cos puppys is long time turn around survival , when u sick n cry o happy also b u ... js let it happen cheers up....
I have a few questions here about Dog Show/Championship as well. Is Dog Show/Championship the competition to select the best of each breed? Does it include those agility/obedient competition?
1 of the requirement of Championship is MKA cert. What about agility/obedient competition? If my dog doesn't has a cert, can he still participate in these competition?
By the way, is there such agility/obedient competition in available? I din see any of post regarding this. Please advice, thanks!
