Re: [gigiger] What to consider when buying a JRT? [In reply to] Can't Post

a jrt is a hyper-active doggie, i would suggest ur frens to read up abt jrt 1st before gettin their hands dirty on 1. a jrt needs lotsa exercise & attention. if they're left alone at home, they'l find their ways to entertain emself. therefore, most will misunderstand a jrt as a mischievious destroyin doggie. at the end of the day, ur frens might not be able to cope with their jrt & all will suffer inc the doggie

best way is to doggie sit a jrt for a week & u'l know wat i mean

Re: [gigiger] What to consider when buying a JRT? [In reply to] Can't Post

errmmm... i dont cage or leash him up when he's alone at home. i lock him in the master bedroom with balcony access. the room's fan is on... plenty of water supply. lotsa general toys (do not need supervision) he'l go to the balcony's drain to do his business. pretty said he's kinda havin free access to my entire room. the bed, chair, etc...

he doesnt whine when i leave the room, provided i kiss & wave him goodbye... Tongue

1st u will need to allocate a place that ur pup can do his businesses without u comin home & feelin stress of cleanin up after him. when he got the idea whr, u dont have to worry he'l spoil ur bed sheets with his stains.

next is hse breakin... u want him to be able to take care of himself when ur not around. not destroyin things while ur out. u can try my method. i kiss & wave him goodbye since small. started out with 1min & slowly increase the time. now i can leave zeus for a full 12hrs alone at home without worryin him tearin my room apart.

basically, a jrt tears a place / thing when they feel bored. fill their days alone with some general toys that wont require ur supervision (really very thick soft toys, with plastic eyes or nose) u hav to monitor those toys fr time to time. given a long period they can rip open those toys & choke on the stuffins inside

make sure to have plenty of water supply for him, jrts need lotsa lotsa water

hope this helps, let me know if there's anythin else

cheers Wink

no problem... Wink

correction on my earlier post, the soft toys allowed for pups are those with really thick material, strong stichins, no tags & WITHOUT plastic eyes or nose

cheers

Hi vino

I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong place(correct me if I do)

Just found out that there is a JRT dog for sale at RM300.

The dog looks good in the photos and age 6 months old, male and toilet-trainned.

I am tempted but do you think it is much cheaper than the other? I'm afraid there are some

prob with the dog and so they sell at a lower price(I assumed that)

What do you think?

Hi vino

I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong place(correct me if I do) its ok Wink

Just found out that there is a JRT dog for sale at RM300. i think ive read that post before

The dog looks good int he photos and age 6 months old, male and toilet-trainned. the price is of cuz a little low, as a matter of fact, its very low. a standard jrt w/out cert abt RM 900~1100. with cert its abt RM 1200~1400. these prices are from reputable breeders

I am tempted but do you think it is much cheaper than the other? I'm afraid there are some

prob with the dog and so they sell at a loewr price(I assumed that) u'l nvr know till uve seen the jrt itself, the sale is from a petshop i assume cuz normally, a reputable breeder will nvr have outdated stock (as in older jrts like 6mths old) usually the jrts will be out of the farm as soon as they're ready (at abt 2~3mths old) either to new guardians or petshops

What do you think? go visit the pup 1st, if ur not comfortable with the condition, then let it go...there is no harm. actually im plannin to get a female jrt myself, ive came across a litter of good pups. seen the pups thru hp mms pics. but unfortunately the pups are in kl. ive got not enuff time to plan for the visit as im in pg. so i let em go. its always ok to let em go & wait for the next batch. if ur serious to get a jrt pup, i'l recommend u to a good reputable breeder the next time im in kl. mail me vinoviruz@g.m.a.i.l.c.o.m. cheers

then u might as well adopt, there are lotsa doggies out thr ready for ur luvin, warm home, graceful care & adoption... Wink

but if ur into jrt, i would suggest u to read up & get info on this devilish breed 1st. the jrt is most misunderstood for its excellence in protection, possesion, expressive behaviour, huntin & diggin skills. wat u see in tv, in the mask, in frasier, etc are NOT wat ur gonna get. so...be forth-warned

cheers Wink

Oh,is him. Got a lot of potential buyer to buy his pups.

I get to own a dog but not for long. Too bad I had to

give her away due to my grandma is coming over to

live with us and she is allergic to dog's fur.

hmmm...allergy huh?

so now uve gotta let ur doggie go...??? why dont u find out more abt hypoallergen (spellin check?) doggies. i think its kinda like those certain breeds of doggies that wont give a allergy reaction to human (of as in a lower percentage of possibilities)

cheers

very difficult for jrts to get along with each other (of the same gender) usually not more than 2 of the same gender. my dreams are not a football team, jz a volleyball team of half a dozen or maybe 7 of em muahahahhahaha

dont worry if im goin to the next doggie event in central, u'l get to meet me & zeus
