DOGO ARGENTINO-- The Ultimate Guard Dog!	Can't Post

Hi There,

My name is Nick, just bought a Dogo Argentino from a friend up north last year May. My Dogo is coming to 12 months old, his name is Fight. I have read most of the thread in this site and found not much about this breed, welcome anyone who own this breed to share on your experience and ideas about this breed.

FIGHT--- The best Guard Dog, He killed a 6 feet king cobra in my garden at the age of 9 months, this makes me love him more and would like to know the members who own this breed...

I agreed... this is a really rare breed... have only came across once 2 years ago... a old male own by a old man... he can't even find a mate for his dogo since he adopted him at the age of 2...

It won't be cheap i guess... one of the member here did mentioned it is around RM5000 to RM7500... WITHOUT CERT...

Who did you got your dogo from? Up north... you mean Penang? And how much you bought it for? It that your furkid on you avatar?

Really cool man... I guess you are the only member in PPC who got this breed... hahaha!

I bought Fight from Kedah, RM4100.00. but this guy travels to Thailand very often, he told me he stays in Thailand most of the time. At first I so worried that I might get a dogo mix, but the guy that sold to me are so responsible, he show me all the record of Fight's parents. And he is into Dogo since 2 years ago.

Hi friend,

I am from Taiping, but now I am staying in Penang, but going to transfer to Alor Star soon, I think after CNY. I am not so sure about other breed besides Dogo, but I think Kevin is the SiFu in these banned breeds as I have read most of his post under the AST and APBT thread, he is the right person to look for when coming to these banned breed. He has all the banned breed breeders contacts in M'sia and overseas, and he is a nice guy Smile

... I heard from my father, sometimes he can even give away his pups for FREE to someone who is really sincere to own a AST or APBT.

My dad told me that he met Kevin via a friend who breed BT in Taiping, only saw him once and he can even offer my dad a FREE AST pup. Hehehehehehe...

By the way, Kevin Chuan is from Penang. His number is ***Mxs..4..88518..0 you can contact him for more info.

Kevin how do i tell if the pit bull is a pure breed or not?? Since most of them dont have a cert ..Its hard to tell my dad to keep pit bulls because of that...When i ask him why he keep rottie he will say that because it has cert and he say that i should buy a rottie ..He say i can only keep one if i can convince him.... Please help..

Hi Marvin,

A mix pitbull will lost at least half of its drive. Pitbull come in many many bloodline and it can be catagorise into 2 line--> 1. Gameline 2. Showline

Gameline was bred into dog fighting, and showline are known as American Staffordshire Terrier (AKC) or American PitBull Terrier (UKC).

If you wish to buy a pitbull, you got to make yourself very clear which line you are keen into. Buy from a responsible breeder is strongly recommended, don't buy from petshop or puppy mills as they do not know much about this breed.

A pure APBT should remain the original drive of a fighting terrier, a drive which it will never give up, a drive of fearless, pain tolerance, and etc...

So has the APBT come in normal and large size ...
Or is only one size....Saw a guy and he said that his dog is a APBT but it looks very big .....

Heard his neighbour said that he bought it for 3500....So do you think its a pure one...

To a not expert guy llike me i think it look more like an american bull dog

Game pit are commonly seen at around 11 to 14kg, off couse some will be a bit + - in weight depends on the owner conditioning it before a performance. Certain country are heading towards breeding a over size APBT, example Australia, and Indonesia also some states in US. Some APBT from these country may reach up to 30KG in weight, it is still an APBT but they have being bred for size.

RM3500 for a APBT pup is consider a medium high price, If we talk about a normal gamepit pup the price is around RM800 to RM1200, the price will be higher if it is from a good bloodline (RM2100 to RM6000).

Just ask your neighbour which bloodline is his APBT and he bought from who, I should be able to tell you in more detail.

A American Bulldog is much bigger and heavier than a over size APBT or AST. As far as I understand only 1 guy from penang who own the only pair of AmBulldog in Malaysia so far...

Nick owns a Dogo... its from Thailand... I agreed with him, Dogo is an ultimate guard dog. It is very very rare in our country, due to the Malaysian government banned this breed.

Since it is very very rare in our country, due to the Malaysian Government BANNED this breed. So, how can he get one? Im staying in Padang Besar, will reach the Malaysia/Thai Border in 5min time.

Hi Henry,

Oh... You staying in Padand Besar... Then you should know "Malaysia Boleh" in doing everything. Can you speak Thai? If you do, then it would be lot more easier for you to deal with Thai... just pay them, they will handle it, but another alternative is to look for locals who can handle for you.
