Hi Brother,

To me I still feel an American Staffordshire Terrier and American Pitbull Terrier works perfect as a guard dog in our country... (personal opinion Smile) They have the fierce look, the strengh, the loyalty, the powerfull bite, the agility, and the aggressiveness to work as a guard...

Hi Kevin,
Yup I very agree with you that american staffordshire and american pitbull terrier that they had the fierce look, strength, loyalty and powerful bite, but this two breed doesn't go well with other dog's...."dog will bite human" but "staffordshire and pitbull will bite human and dog too"Smile....just my personal opinion...hope i didn't offended you at any point....Frown...i think i will stick with my choice MALINIOS OR DOBERMAN....btw nice terrier you got there....FrownFrown

Re: [andrew_mei] plsssssssss Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi, just saw your postings both the dogs you mentioned are great for what you wish it to do but I think a Mali would suit you better as a dob needs a lot of "chummyness" as if you are one of those that work late into the day and not spend much time with it, it can and will challenge you. As it is there are some fine and good temperament dobs breeders unlike thirty years or so ago whereby dobs do have a bad reputation like the rotties have now. So, if you think you can spend time with it then a dob is best.

Hi,
Thankx for the information on dobe....actually i really like dobe but the main problem is the ear cropping on the dobe.....like what you mention if i use to work late than is very difficult for me to look after the ear when is cropped and the time to spend with him....mmnnnn.....Unsure..
btw nice dobe you got there....really gorgeousFrown

Hi again,
The ear cropping is really nothing, my advise on that is take the dog back to the vet for the first dressing and by the time the second dressing has to come off the ear is already standing.... a little so the rest is just binding it up. Once the ear has heal it is not really difficult to work with. Thanks about my dob, just mated her infact so now just wait and see, should know in about 5 weeks time. Anyway, just out of interest do let us know on your final choice.

Temperment, it all depends on bloodline that is why some of us in the forum advises to only buy pups from breeders. Anyway, if you wish to know more give me call at 019 23-1 10 32

Wow, thanks for the vote of confidence but you go down the list on Working Dogs, there were a few who started but responsewas extremely bad and as for me I do not feel I know enough of the breed and standard.
