SARS Can't Post

hi everyone,

I am not sure if this is true...but I heard it somewhere...

It's believed that SARS is related to dog's distemper disease...the virus is airborne and now is attacking human being as well... as you guys noe, there's no cure yet....if not, dogs wouldn't be put too sleep because of this virus...

Please take care of yourself and your doggie....since it's everywhere now...

Re: [jomeng] SARS [In reply to] Can't Post

hey jomeng,

don't freak out.....I think i heard it on the radio...and also on tv...but doctors still have not confirmed it...so don't worry...but even before SARS, distemper was already a threat to our doggies...and it still is...just bear in mind that you ought to take some safety precautions..now that this virus is attacking human being as well, we must limit our outings in public...just have to bkful...and be more hygienic...

take care everyone....don't be paranoid...if you feel unwell, quickly seek help from doctor....

Re: [ashley] SARS [In reply to] Can't Post

haha..don't worry..no one is putting our lovely doggies to sleep...just that i was saying...when a dog catches distemper, the chance for the doggie to stay alive is very slim..so usually doggies with distemper are put to sleep...and now this virus is revolving around human being...and there's no cure yet..and I am quite disappointed since distemper has a long history involving doggie...and still no cure???and now it's a threat to all of us (human being)...takkanla put human being to sleep just like dat....sigh...Crazy

hoping for a cure or a miracle....Frown it's taking many lives and spreading like wildfire....again,take care everyone...

Re: [strawhoney] SARS [In reply to] Can't Post

Researchers at Hong Kong University said Thursday that their latest tests have identified a new virus from the Coronavirus family, which causes common colds, as the primary cause of SARS. But they said it might combine with a virus from the paramyxovirus family, which includes measles, mumps and canine distemper, making the effects even worse.

Dear strawhoney,

Do hope that they'll find a cure soon.

If they do,maybe they can reconstruct the antidote and use it to cure canine distemper!Tongue

Last Saturday I heard in the news by a Taiwan channel that a cat in Hong Kong also suspected contracted SARS. Quite scare, right?

Re: [All] SARS [In reply to] Can't Post

The virus can be killed with alcohol + sunlight. So make sure everytime you come back from outside, clean your hand/ clothes with alcohol or expose under sunlight.
Also, it is true. I just came across yesterday when checking Trivor's medical record, the vaccine for her 2nd & 3rd jap also included "Coronavirus". But I don'tr believe this is the deadly virus, it may be what it said, combination with other viruses that make it worse.
So, be extra careful, hope they can find the cure ASAP.
