HI, I have a two year old Shitzu who recently had an abscess popped near her Anal glands. She is provided the necessary Antibiotics, and anti-inflammatories. She eats and Drinks regularly, but has yet to urinate or defecate, should I be worried about this? I can understand that it is painful for her with regards to the location of the abscess, but will holding back from going to the bathroom harm her? Its been about two days since I last saw her relieve herself. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!!
