Procedure for Exporting of Pet Dog Can't Post

Hi! Hope someone can give me some advice how to go about doing this. I have some friends from Netherlands who intend to buy a dog here to bring back to their homeland. They have been backpacking around Asia for over a year and Malaysia is their last stop. Question is
1) What to look out for when buying the pet?
2) What is our in-country procedure to clear before the pet is allowed onboard?
3) Any idea what if the airlines have restrictions on pet travel?

Appreciate someone can share this information. Thank you.

Do not buy from pet shop. Go to a breeder and ask them to help get the paper work organise. You can take the pup with you as access baggage. You must also get the relevant papers with from your your homeland or importing papers. Go see the embassy to sort it out. It is not difficult but a lot of leg work and time due processing of your application, blood test result of the pup.

All the best.
