Hello Edmund,

Well.. my silky is not as angelic as he seems in my avatar! Tongue took me a couple of shots to get him looking nice just sitting there Sly. he's also very hyper.. and quite a barker too. but he's still my darling .

even though i'm staying in condo, i put those wired nettings at my grill door. just in case someone forgets to close the wooden door, my dog can't escape Crazy.

it's always sad to read about owners looking for dogs. but i do hope u'll get to find ur doggie soon. don't give up!

Edmund, I mean have u search the area that u usually took for his walk?

Search that area, try to imagine, if u are him what would u go? (I did that n I got info about my lost dog n I got him back in my arms now) Ask nearby shops.

Good luck.

Hi Edmund

This is just my view only becoz I am not a dog expert. From past experiences from my family and my own dog, when we walked them around the neighbourhood, the dogs will usually do their markings.

One of my dog is an escape artist and will dash out of the gate whenever any of our cars drives in or out from the car porch. He will usually come back 15-30 minutes later on his own.

On some days when we go for a slow drive in the evening, he will follow behind our car and sometime the distance could be about for 10 miles away. This rascal usually will stop following our car on the way back to check out something that catches his fancy and yet still be able to find his way home.

What I am trying to say here is, if you have been taking your dog for walks around the neighbourhood, he will definately be able to find his way back when he goes out on his own.

The only reason I can think of why he has not returned is either he's been hurt and waiting to be rescured, or already have been rescued and safe in somebody's home or vet, or been dognapped by someone.

I know I have not painted a very happy picture here, and I sincerely hope that your dog is safe somewhere. I will pray for your dog.

Hi Renaoh,

Thank for your guide, anyway I'm very sure my dicky jai know how to back home if he alone outside as he always lead me where he want to go when ever i bring him out, he bring me 1 round to pie n etc and will route back to my house for 4 years..............so the possibility is someone snatch him into car n pet him home as so far i didn't found him injured or......(touch wood), hope he give someone love dog pet him now and till someone that fella bring him out and i meet him.........Crazy

i've rounding and rounding every day after work...........hope will meet him soon Frown, find out most of the missing dog they able to re-united at the end, some takes 12 hours, some takes 10 day and i really hope i m 1 of them.........

Re: [edmund_tan99] Silky terrier missing in OUG day 3...plz help! [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Edmund,

During your walks with your pet, has anyone ever pay special or extra attention to your dog? Has anyone ask questions about him? In your search, try calling out loud your dog's name again and again (who cares if you look like an idiot if it can help get your dog back). If he's being kept indoors to avoid being seen, your dog might bark or whine to let you know when he hears you calling him. Also be extra alert to see whether any of your neighbours suddenly has a dog in their house. Also look twice if a dog is about your dog's size becoz some rascals will trim/cut/dye the dog's fur to avoid detection.

Another option is try to get your newspaper delivery man or the roti man on motorbike, rubbish collector etc to keep a look out for your dog when they do their rounds (provide them a picture). You can of course throw in some incentives by way of some $token to motivate them. Kidnappers normally do not suspect these people even when these people asked them about their new dogs.

yes, i've search through the usual way we walk daily, asking around those fella that know him n me but they said didnt c him.......Frown

i don think so he go that far till shop or stall area coz of the traffic and he won't go up since he being attack by 1 fierce black local dog there, i staying below those shops where takes bout 5-10mins to reach shops if walking.......so he never ever want to walk up

anyway, i've rounding shop, n stick flyer ........

Hi edmund,

Dun under estimate ur dog, u may not know that he would really go that far. My MS who never go aross a busy road b4 but he went up too way far I would ever expected, someone saw him trying to cross to opp road which is very very busy road n that really shocked me. Luckily, there's a very kind man who stop him crossing the road or I wouldn't dare even to think of any worst thing will happen to him.

Did print or photostat flyers and pass it all around? I had passed all my flyers more than 1000 pcs, every housing area, shop lots, apartments, pets shop and wherever there is a place I can put up my flyers. I never stop searching for 1 whole week, day n night, walk, run, call out very loud his name, asked all those residents especially those with dogs n they really help us a lot on that. There are ppls who called, some asked for reward, some offer their help, some saw somebody's dog (thinking that it's my MS). Ring ppls door bell, ask them, give them the flyers, tell them what happened.

But after all, my MS was found back at last, happened that a very kind Indian man helped us a lot on this.

So please don't think whatever ur dog may not do, think what he may do. He is alone when he ran out, that mean he have no one to say 'no' to him or control him from going to aother place that U would think he should not go. I just couldn't say anything more, all I hope u will reunite with him n keep him safe. I'm so sad for u. I'll pray n wish u all the best to get him back.

Edmund, more flyers.

Hi Edmund,

I will bring him around Sri Petaling area for a walk, see if he knows how to go back to his own master.

If you really cannot find back Dicky jai, would you want to adopt ah Boy? I think he's very similar to Dicky jai except he's more quiet & not blue tanned. Our problem, as you might know is that we live in townhouse, and he'll be stuck inside the house for the whole day when all of us go to work. Sometimes we have to tie him up whole day because one of our housemates are very afraid of dogs.

Not sure why, he just won't pee inside houseTongue and try to tahan and will only pee when we come back late in the evening to bring him for a walk. So i feel very pity for him.

We will surely miss him a lot Frown but I'm sure that he'll have a better environment if you adopt him. Anyway, just to let you consider. We will still be taking care of him. If you know anyone wants to adopt him, tell us also, ok.

Oh, in case you wanted to contact me, i'm at 012-2731230.

Thanks.
