I brought my 6 weeks old pup to a vet last week for vacination purposes but wasn't given any because according to the vet, there's a lot of bacteria in him... The vet feed him some yellow colour liquid which i assume should be de-worming and gave me some antibiotic pills to eliminate/minimize the bacteria.
The one you love is the one that should take you higher
eat pill - to me the least hassle method, and it's not messy, just open the dog mouth and put at the abck of the throat and massage abit so it go down, monitor make sure he don't throw it out. another way is to put in treat or food. i have heard someone coat the pill with peanut butter and let the dog eat it. pill can buy from petshop at RM4 - 5.
liquid - haven't heard of this but i knwo it can be quite messy. cause the dog may purge and causing u to be covered with liquid de-worm.
injection - this one is withdrawn from the market already. cause experts say no use to inject 6 months of dose into the dog, the dog can die. but this is for heartworm prevention. normall worming, i don't think this method is being done.
HIHI I heard that heart guard will need only when they are 6 month old. And once u start giving it... u must remember every month and have to punctual. If not, then have to send the dog to blood test. some people give them this when they r 4 month old. Actually my furbie also just 4 month plus like yours. Im still thinking wanna let her do he injection once fr a year or so ma fan have to punctual to eat pill every month.... headache.... Rm30 different onli.... what u think :)
