Use of Central Park for gathering Can't Post

TOP URGENT AND VERY IMPORTANT

We have received a complaint from the BU Management that some of our members has been organizing gathering at the BU Central Park without the approval from the BU management. BU Management do not allow dogs in the Park in normal day as it is not an official dog park.

We have in the past used the park for three times for AKC RDO Day, Malaysia K9 Day and the Obedience / Agility Workshop and for all the days, we have obtained the approval and paid the rental and deposit for the use of the venue.

Anyone who wish to use the park for their own function and especially dog gathering need to obtain approval from the BU Management and if you are doing it in your personal capacity, please do not use the name of Puppy.com.my.

If anyone of you have more questions on this matter, please do not hesitate to post them here . Myself, Ming Yang will be able to answer your Qs on this issue here.

Thanks

Hi viv,

The park have a sign that says "No Pets Allow" at the main entrance near the main road. I guess its understandable from that sign that no pets are allow to be in the park.

cheers,

Thanks

Hello Boon,

I guess your statement really surprise a lot of member. I heard from another member not long ago that they didn't allow dog into Tmn Titiwangsa...I will be happy if you said we can...but are you really sure we can...where to start...I'm so scared people there (esp. Malays) will start screaming and running if they see our dogs jogging with us...hehe

Thanks for the information anyway...

Love,
Jennifer

SmileSmile Really? Can we really bring dogs to Titiwangsa? i remembered one time I brought my shih tzu to the park there and everyone just stared, the Malays especially. Then, I remembered this guy approached me and said dogs aren't allowed. I was only 11 years old then and my Willy boy only 2 years old. I'm 19 now and my Willy really like to go to parks, only they have big signs that say no dogs allowed, even neighbourhood parks!

I hope someone answer me.

PS: i'm a new user, I'll try to put up my dogs' pictures soon. I have 4 dogs.

What I actually will do is make sure there is no sign "NO DOGS ALLOW". If there is no such sign it is safe to enter the park with your doggies...... Wink

Hi All

There's a nice cozy restaurant in Taman Tun where you can have lunch or dinner with your dog. The owner has is very friendly and dogs are allowed. Name of the place is Cozy Bay and its same row with Maybank. Saturday and Sunday are doggies day at the restaurant

Have fun yah.

Cosy Bay? Have not seen it before. When you say same row as Maybank, do you mean the Maybank next to Mantissa College? Cause I think that's the only Maybank in Tmn Tun and I always go there to do most of my banking stuff.

What kinda food do they serve there btw?

Oh hi! Yes, can be friends wan, no problem hehehe.... You can call me Hun lah.... I have 4 dogs, 2 boxers, a labrador and a shih tzu... my avatar is my shih tzu when he was 2 yrs old, now he's 10!!

In this country ah we rarely get to have freedom with our dogs lah.... I hate that, can't the govt or whoever make a dog run for us dog owners? In Singapore got a few and dogs can run off leash... so nice.... Coz of all this stupid rules ah, my dogs rarely get the chance to socialise, especially my bigger dogs.... people staying near my place own dogs not for companionship but for guard purpose or to show off so they don't bring their dogs for walks, poor thingsFrown....

Don't worry about your english, as long as I can understand, ok loh.... rojak also nevermind heheheh....

Re: [boon] Use of Central Park for gathering [In reply to] Can't Post

just wondering.. i know most parks, even at the BU residential parks they have a no pets sign.. but i've taken my 4 furkids to the multipurpose center there,, there is a huge football field which i let the dogs run free in the late evenings.. so far.. i didnt see any sign or anyone coming to tell me off.. does tat mean it is safe?? i have seen some ppl walk their dogs there when no one plays football too..

err..sorry ah.. my question wld be.. If there is not a no pet sign visible.. means OK to bring the dogs there??

Re: [Khoobg] Use of Central Park for gathering [In reply to] Can't Post

We have no place for doggies.

They should be more supportive in providing parks that not only focus on recreational aspects of human but to give flexibility for people to be socialized while engaging in their favorite activities with their dogs i.e. exercising with their dogs. It motivates us to exercise when we can take our dogs.

It gives me the pleasure to watch my dogs play. We have so many limitation in Malaysia. There's barely any place that I know of allows dogs unless it's being organized by some pets organization like Puppy.Com.

You know what, we need a DOG PARK. Many of us don't mind paying small fees to keep the park clean and provide pick-up bags for poop. They can enforce strict policy and at the same time educate users / dog owners to be more responsible in keeping the park clean.
