Hi cowcow,

Coco is looking prettier than ever! Looks like a tear stain to me. But sorry, I don't know how to solve this. Try searching the other threads coz I remember reading one about tear stains. As for head being too small, could it be that Coco is overweight? Is it possible for you to post a full picture for us to see? Smile

Hi cowcow,

If you're worrried about the eye, why don't you bring coco to your vet for an opinion? At least you'll get peace of mind. As for her "figure", coco looks fine to me (although I'm not an expert with beagles Blush).

Hi cowcow,

Yeah I saw the tv ad as well. Of course-lah the dog is good looking. Have you ever seen an advertisement with a lousy looking model? Everyone sure looks good one Sly. Honestly, I wouldn't be too concerned if I were you. Beagles come in all shapes and sizes...some are show quality, some are not.

why i concern because lately i no much feeding dog food already. in last pet show at the mines, remember? 2 times i discovered the pet food got worm. so scarry. and coco so smart also, she know the food got worm so she dun even touch.

so now her main diet is chicken + rice only. hmm, don't know it's healthy enough or not? Frown that's why her head become so small and body become so big?

Hi cowcow,

I realised that my basset hound has tears too. Is it because the weather is too hot. Sometimes when he is eating, I could see tears dripping. Weird?

SmileSmile Hello Gina Smile,

Nice to see that you're in good spirits, as ever Cool!.....Just like Ah-CuitWink. Bodhi & I are still here and regularly follow the threads too. We were at Pdg Merbok last Sun, but seems quiet these days. Not as many people as before. We didn't register for any classes this time, so we have plenty of time to socialise and kay-poh at the Pdg. But too bad didn't see any of you guys Unsure. Will try to go to UPM, but seems a bit far though. Also, I'm playing "single parent" this weekend so, don't know if I can manage Bodhi alone in the car Crazy. If not, we hope to see you guys at the Pdg one of these days.

Smile !!

hi con corn, and ur coco too! hehe, been almost half year i no visit this site already loh. a bit outdated. still regarding the tears hor, that day i ask the vet and he says coco's eye's glance a bit not good, so cry always onli loh. ^o^

now she is 1 year + 2 month already. hmm, notin much problem la. small that time ear a bit too dirty, but now no more. just had to wash her face everyday. and.... dun feed too much. doctor warn me already, says that too fat canot get pregnent wan. hahaha! well, now 1 years old but u can see my coco still the smallest size compared to others. wondered why? the leg too short. wondered it mix with besset or wat.

about training ah. not much la. maybe i suggest u buy a "rotan" at least that's work for my coco. like pee outside and not toilet, rotan, if pee in toilet, got snack food, basic training loh. hmm, now ah, no need rotan already, once the command "see" (see what had she done) she will terbalik and 4 leg up. haha Laugh

biting bahaviour she have last time, but after she change all her tooth, getting lesser as well. now onli when she got angry (like we all go out) she will bite the door, sleep on sofa, jumpin on table (i curi record her thru my handycam) for revenge loh. Crazy

nice to meet ur coco loh! try to post a new photo here.

hi, I have beagle puppies half the age of your Coco. So, now I have a better idea what to expect in 6 months time. Maybe I have to refer all my frustrations and questions to you so you can tell me it will be all ok when they grow up, hahahaha. Anyway, I took a good look at all the pictures you posted of Coco and she looks in the correct proportions for a Beagle and very nice. Only thing is looks like she has got a generous owner. By the way, can you tell me how heavy your Coco is, how much she eats and how much exercise she gets? I am wondering how it will be for my 2 rascals lah when they reach adulthood. At 7 months they are around 11kg or 25lbs, 2 1/2 cups kibble per day and walk about 3 km. Does she still have frequent tear marks? Best regards,J

eh! you have a lemon color beagle there???? looks nice! hmmm, maybe i am not really follow what the vet or breader says what is the best food for dog. because dog food never attract my coco anymore. what she think is that what human eat is the best. (everytime we cook vege, i hate to eat, so i gave to her, Sly) last time i use to feed kibbles, then later she dun touch anymore, so i keep and keep till worm grows in my kibbles, later i change to can food. then i see the ingrediant of can food.. mostly is chicken liver.... yet sell so expensive. so i try to make my own dog food loh. meat meat little in microwave + rice hmmm, never tot of put vege inside except when she was waitin at the dinner table, sure got lots of vege to eat.

regarding exercise she will follow my dad for everyday morning walk, yet still very fat la! some neighbourhood people says like pig, like hotdog... what kind also got. aihh! Crazy

never measure her weight yet... but regarding the size is really really small compares to others. because my neighbourhood also got one.

Hi again, you pamper and overfed the little fellow lah, heheheh. Beagles are supposed to be extra hungry and extremely greedy. My babies will wallop their rations within a minute and still behave hungry. The last time they were boarded, the vet told me they hentam a doberman's dinner, muahahaha. Anyway, you think your Coco is small ah? Breed standard for Beagles is supposed to be small at height below 15 inches. The breaders would sell the bigger puppies as pets cos will outgrow the standard. Maybe yours will have a chance to be the next grandchampion. If you get a chance to weigh her let me know lah just for interest. Best regards,J

Hey, ur coco has a brown head... Very nice leh!! Does she bites like my coco also when she's still young at that time? I can't let her go out to pee pee / poo poo, b'coz i m living in a condo lor.. So she is taught to do her business in the toilet like we do. hahahahahaSmile

But she only know how to do her peepee in the toilet and not the poo poo... Still don't know why!!CrazyUnsure Now everyday she would wakes us up at 7.30am during week days and 8.30am on weekend.. for her feeding time.. What a clever dog!! At least she give us some time allowance on weekend for sleeping....

What I know if Beagle tend to be very fat, is not so cute any more, lor.. Better watch her weight hor... Well, My Coco doesn't like to be cage. I would leave her at home when I m at work. She will not be vandalising my furniture or others when no one at the hse. But the she would start to vandalise if we r at home, jz to get our attention.. notty girl...

Hi Cowcow, long time no hear. I hope you and coco are well.

Hi Jaytan, my beagle's 1.5yrs old now. I used to overfeed her too for a while and she grew quite "plump" looking, with saggy tummy. So, I reduced her food intake to only 1 cup a day (Purina Proplan) and has been so eversince. I split her meals into two feeds (i.e. half-cup each meal) and take her for long, brisk walks whenever I can. At 1.5yrs old, she weighs around 22lbs. When I last measured her height, it was around 16". Here's a picture of her.

Hi there.....

ermmm......pardon my boldness......i was just wondering if u have interest to let coco breed?? I hope to breed Lou later when he is about 16 months old......now he is 8 months old.....How old is Coco now? I plan to breed my second beagle bitch too but she is too young now and she cant possibly breed with Lou cos they are both tan and white. Do let me know if u have interest.....we can talk about it.....it's fun to breed them and see a nice litter of puppies......it's not just about the money....it's the delight and the joy u get from the arrival of new lives......cute little puppies from ur own dog.......can u imagine the excitement??......it's an experience too......i would at least let my bitch whelp a litter in her entire life b4 i spay her to free her from the pain.

With regards,

Sean Lim

Hi Hi! Sean Lim

i had been almost a year non-active in puppy.com already. Tongue Well, I don't know what to says about my coco. Few things which is strange.

1. She's very short. Very very short compared to normal beagle (Not enough Nutrition). Never see such a short beagle before anywhere...

2. She's too fat. The vet says it is danger for her to have baby.

3. Anyway, she no longer cry after age of 2.

So, guess no body wants her anymore?? Frown
