Hi all,

count me in, another yellow lab owner, Bonney. She is 6 months and 4 days old now. Blushem...fun to train ? she is abit hyper and notti, but is very smart and intelligent dog, learn the command very fast provided her favorites treats like carrot and boiled breast on hand.

Re: [wkser] Retriever breed [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi wkser,
Well i don't want to dissapoint you but my GR is only so so. She only can sit, down, heel, long stay, stack, jump, climb ladder and paw. Other than that i am working on off leash heel and pee on command. She have not master that. As for training sometimes i give food as a bait. Sometimes i just praise her. Usually praises will work if you seldom praise your dog. Like me ;). If not you have to use bait. I think the basic is easy but tricks is a bit hard. If you want your dog to speak, you just give the command speak at the right time when he bark. Slowly he will accustom to it and when you say speak means bark. My pinscher and shih tzu can speak. Other than those trick my pinscher can play dead and find things. This was tought to him by hidding his favourite toy since he is small. So when we ask him to find something he is playing with earlier he will look for it all over the house. :}.

we got brinkley from a private breeder... she was RM 2200... more expensive than usual but cheaper than pet stores... coz her father's a Mal.Ch and she has other good blood in her pedigree...
