Cruelty against dogs/puppies

Hmmmppph...

Got very angry yesterday about what my father told me. Some nasty people threw rubbish in my garden when they saw my puppy there. Lucky that she was in her special corner or else sure kena some of the rubbish. FrownFrown

Do any of you dog owners suffer from this problem?

Some nasty kids in my neighbourhood used to throw firecrackers into my garden when they saw my grandfather's dog sitting there. Scared her like hell. She refused to come to my house after that....Unsure

My puppy didn't do anything to harm these peopple. She didn't even bark at these people.... Such "animals"... My dog is more cultured compared to these "animals"...

Re: [aragorn2976] Cruelty against dogs/puppies

The Indonesians staying in the shoplot behind my house use to throw rubbish, phone cards, bones and even sanitary napkins into our house compound... until we cannot take it, we complained to the ppl who rented the place to them... now they stop their nonsense already...

Then this new neighbour came in.. alwiz feeding my dog with bones, and rubbish ... when I'm not watching and denies it when i query them... then I spoke to the mom and told her that what they are doing is causing problem with my dog's skin... They can see it for themself too...

Glad they stop it already... Some ppl who are not animal lovers, they'll not understand their own cruelty until it really happens to themself...

Swee Eng

Unfortunately, we don't know who has done this... MadMad

If I catch any of these people, will certainly give them a good piece of my mine. MadMadMadMad I think they didn't kacau my previous dog because they couldn't "see" her since she was dark in colour. My pup is white, so, easy to be seen... Frown

Re: [aragorn2976] Cruelty against dogs/puppies

Long time ago had this kid who liked throwing stones and swearing at the dogs..always did it to my dog as well as the neighbours.

But he got his pay back by a canine member. But i wished the dog wasn't so obedient though.Tongue Here's what happened that time.

A while ago, this guy did the same to my dog(it was a small dog then) and he also did the same to another neighbour's pomeranian. What he didn't know, that while teasing the lil pom who was at the front of the hse, the pom's friend, a handsome & big GSD was rushing from behind the hse..couldn't stop in time and knoccked the gate a little. As of course the boy was laughing...It was around 6 that time..and the owners opened the gate to drive the car in(they just got back fr work). The look of the boy's face was priceless LaughLaughLaugh LOL

he ran and the GSD chased him..lucky for him, the GSD was trained and his owner's re-called him...darn...curios to see what the GSD would doTongue

LOL

what great timing from the GSD's owners >D

though the GSD merely chased the brat down the street, i guess it's lesson well learnt - definitely wouldn't want any bloodshed, they will definitely blame the dogs in the end!

Re: [RealityDreamer,Hunter,Aragorn, All] Cruelty against dogs/puppies

RD, Hunter and All,

Be careful what you wish for. The public acts like the boy because they do not understand dogs and fear it. So if the dog did charged out and acted on instinct alone and bit the boy. Canine world in Malaysia have to retreat another step. Perhaps then we can't even walk our dogs out of the gate.

Remember the case of the rottweiler that killed the old lady many years ago? after that the government controlled the large species import making it difficult. No one is going to listen to what the old lady did to the dog to make it so angry, the dog just went for the injection.

So please remember this whenever you are handling a dog especially the large species. No matter how tame they are, Kindly don't trust them 100%. Keep them leashed as we do not know what goes in their head all the times. A dog in the public is an uncocked gun waiting for an accident to happen. When it does, the poor dog always pays for it. Not fair but the human is to be blamed. So remember what you wish for..

Rest assured..I was only kidding. Of course I wouldn't want the dog to bite the boy. Wouldn't want dogs to get a worse impression.

But it would definitely be interesting if the dog "held" the boy. LIke a bullmastiff holding a person down. No biting. No blood. Tongue

Wonder if the dogs will still get blamed if the boy is not injured?... Crazy

Re: [ALL] Cruelty against dogs/puppies

my neighbour's kids use to come to our house in front of the gate and throw stones in ... even when i stand right in front of my door they will still throw stones in until i got pissed i walk out and open my gate and told them off ... then they ran away laughing. then once i was walking one of my dog outside the house this neighbour's kid took a stick and tried to hit my dog even when i'm holding my dog on leash. they try to hit her right in front of me and i scolded all the 4 letter words that i can make to him. the funniest thing is that the father is just sitting right outside and saw what happened and din take any actions for it. after scolding the boy i told the father off too !!!

another story, but nothing to do with human attacking dogs though. i was walkign my dog ... 2 dogs that time then this neighbour opened their gate and their dog ran all the way out and tried to attack my dog. one of my dog somehow released herself from the collar and ran back to the house and the other one i quickly carried it and the dog stand right in front of me and stare c*ock at me as though he's saying "put that b*tch down or else i'll bite u" but i stare back at that dog and the owner came out and i told the owner off. the owner just ignored me and i told the owner if you're gonna do this again i'll just let all my 4 dogs out and fight wit your dog and let's see who'll win ... beside 4 dogs i will be there with a stick too ... they just ignored me and i gave them a lecture of 4 letter words from me again ...

sorry la, i know me not educated and always scold wit 4 letter words ... Frown but i'm innocent ~ AngelicTongueBlush

drew,

lucky that ur dog is well-trained and know her way to run home! this shows her "surviving skill"~Wink not bad not bad... should be proud of loh~

Bad neighbors are everywhere and the way they see dogs.... ar~ they can't even RESPECT their own dogs, how are they going to expect others' dogs to RESPECT them??

And about the incident of the Rotti vs the old lady years ago. Sorry all, I'm bias, i think the rotti was triggered by the old lady and the hatred that drove him to attack the old lady must been accumulated for long. (u know... many passer-by like to hold a stick while walking and to scare the dogs for no reasons, this sure "threaten" the dog for long until once they are released, the dogs wanna "self-protect" themselves from the STICK. who to blame?)

yeah, i think only helding the boy will make him pee in his pants already.

but then again, even if the dog did nothing and merely scare the fella, i bet the parents will come blaming the dog in the end :(

still remember the rottie is called Le Roc. i remember last time i did newspaper cuttings for the Le Roc news, until he was put to sleep :(

a few years after that, people here have fear the rottweilers for so long (including me myself actually.. hadn't had any dogs that time).

the dog is like someone being sentenced to death without a trial :( everyone put the blame on him and it's really sad to hear his tragic end.

wah...ur neighbours really crossed the line...

what dog was ur neighbour's? small? big?

read and tried this before. When the dog stares at u...u can stare back fiercely. So far...my neighbour's dogs all back off. They sometimes escape through the gate and try to attack my dogs since they're all on the leash. I just stare...and they turn away.Guess I'm lucky..

if the dog was let lose, why didn't he attack everyone else at random? but instead chose the lady who provoked him with the stick...

he remembered who always threaten him through the gate.

haiyo, that is history, i regret i threw them away few years later :/

if not can post the news up here.. even got the photo of the "executional ground"

the name gave me a lot of impact. after that, i refer to ALL rottweilers as Le Roc (until years later where i finally found out they're called "rottweilers" :o)

whenever a rottie pass by, i would say "look ma' it's Le Roc!!!"

I know what you mean. After the verdict that Le Roc had to be put to sleep, I was wondering, couldn't he be retrained somehow?? Hmmmm... Quite difficult-la... I'd guess...Unimpressed

Every time I saw a Rotti, I was wondering... "Errr... Hope you are not going to Le Roc me-ar..." Unsure Anyway, perception changed when I met my friend's Rotti... Tongue

wonder how did the owner feel about this. his fault also- should've been more careful.

did Le Roc run loose or something? anyone can recall the whole story?

Re: [RealityDreamer] Cruelty against dogs/puppies

i saw lots of stray dogs in old town, pj. there are some ppl holding sticks, prepared to hit those dogs that come near them. but i don't face any problem with those dogs, i tried once to call the dog 'doggie come here'. wanted to play with the cute dog, but he walk away ignoring me :(

i wonder why there are always report about ppl being attack by dogs. maybe becoz they looks 'yong sui'.

Re: [Amanda85] Cruelty against dogs/puppies

yea...i see that sometimes too.

I think they are worried of other dogs.

But honestly though, a stray wouldn't attack any other dog without a reason.

An injured dog in the "wild" would mean a dead dog.

Both parties would try to avoid the confrontation as much as possible.

Usually it's the house dogs who are accustomed to humans and are not afraid of them who might attack.

Re: [aragorn2976] Cruelty against dogs/puppies

I have similar problems when I had my two dogs. Those 'barbarians' disturbed my dogs by throwing stones, rotten eggs and darts. Yes, darts!!

Once, my dad ran out and chased them after stalking them for hours in the shadows, and caught one of the barbarian by the collar. He gave the kid a good shake before letting him go.

I don't understand them. They don't like dogs but likes to annoy dogs. When my dogs bark, they say "Anjing bodoh". Hey, who's the stupid one? My dogs are FAR smarter than them.

Sometimes I really wish I could throw the stones back at them, those dang animals. Even my dogs are more well-behaved than them.

Luckily, my Abby is safe from these barbarians but I'm afraid right now. They're playing firecrackers now....

Re: [RealityDreamer] Cruelty against dogs/puppies

Just got a call from my mum this morning while am at work. my neighbour's dog an Alsation was poison to death. My mum saw my neighbour burying it this morning. Apparently, was puking blood and all. So sad to hear that. Although some of my other neighbours had complained that he was a nuisance barking whole night and all...but it is no way to poison the fella! Am so worried, although my dogs are kept at home during the day, but at nite there are outside within my compound. I have a 14 year old mix spitz and 2 mths old lab...and just this morning i rescued a male Lab back home because i found that he was lost.

Damn those cruel people!!

That is really sad news.... Hmmm... I'm pretty worried as well as my pup is making a lot of noise now... I've got 1 neighbour who lives behind my house and is really fussy... Am afraid he might do something to the dog/dogs since the neighbours in front of his house all keep dogs....

*sigh*... Hope that nothing happens to your dogs... These people will get their retribution one day.... This is no way to treat God's creatures!!!!

so kind of you rescueing the lost dog. the those dogs fight?
actually is not advisable to let dogs free around the compound during night time.

for me, kinki is free in the garden and compound during day time and i'll lock him up in my large balcony duing night time. more safe.

i had the same experience too...i live in a corner house, meaning that my dog have more space to be harmed. these stupid Malay guys just came over and threw stones and twigs into my house to hit my barking pom......i was really furious and i hid and watched them for a few times and once when they did that, my bro used a lastic to shoot the stones back at them n they screamed in pain. At least they know it's painful. what about my dogs?Mad

but now they dare not approach anymore coz everytime when my pom barks, the lab'll rush out n theyt'll be scared. of course, i'm scared that they'll poison my dogs but i only leave them out when we r in the garden...or else they'll be in the houseUnsure
