Lost Dog in Petaling Jaya
Dear All,

I have lost my dog around section 7 of Petaling Jaya on Jalan Selangor (near Assunta Hospital). Frown

She is a black dog with brown markings on her face, chest and feet (as someone from Paws said, something like ordinary street dog markings), wears a red collar with a black strip running through the middle of the collar, and answers to the name of "Tiggy". She is a little afraid of strangers.

She ran out of the house sometime during the night of 12 February 2005, Saturday.

I would be really grateful if anyone can contact me if they come across her... please.

Thank you for your suggestion. I just don't have a picture of her - you have no idea how bitterly I regret it....... i have actually considered taking a picture of a dog my neighbour has (with permission of course) and describe the minor differences. Do you think that would help?

Just take a pic of a dog, who looks quite similar to your dog. I hope it would help! Besides that, you may check out your dog at Puchong Pound in case she was being caught by DBKL. Pls make your move fast as Puchong Pound would put the dog to sleep if nobody claim the dog within a few days time. You may consider distributing flyers as well. Once again, i truly wish you could reunite with your lovely furkid!

Hi! I managed to take a picture of a dog which looks like Tiggy - Tiggy's ears are a little sharper (less rounded) and there is more brown fur at the centre of her chest. But the picture is a fairly accurate representation of her. Please please look out for her and contact me at 012-2070973 if you see her or have kindly taken care of her for the past few days.

On another note, I just had a false alarm but this may be of interest to some of you. There is a sign at Raju's Restaurant in Sectioni 5 that a male rottweiler was found there. There are contact details on the poster. Hopefully the dog will be reunited with his owner soon...

Ok. Err.. would be grateful if you could tell me where the Puchong Pound is? Because I don't live anywhere near Puchong - I live in Petaling Jaya where MPPJ are the dog catchers - and not DBKL. But I'm desperate enough to give it a shot.

Hmm.....i don't have the address of Puchong Pound. You can check the post written by Leon (same forum). He always goes there and tries to help the dogs there. I have been there few times also, it is somewhere next to a school (Han Ming) if i'm not mistaken.

Perhaps you can go and check at Paws. Take the pic with you and give it to the person at Paws .

2. Also go round your vicinity and the nearby areas.

3. Go to PUchong Pound is very useful tip too. I remember also the seeing in the post by Leon.

Last but not least pray.

Two experiences : 1. My freind's dog also lost somewtime near Hari raya and deepavali. - (fire crackers) He went round looking all over the place here. I brought him to Paws. He went to Pound Puchong, He put up posters at lamposts (that's how i got to know it and helped him) - but to no avail. One night , at 7pm he decided to go to another part of vicinity and drove slowly. He heard some knocking at the back of his car. He stopped and got down.. to his shock, it was his dog Prince!!!!

2. Another friend lost his dog . It was discovered lost in the morning, most probably because of firecracker. She searched and searched. Also went to Paws and called up Puchong Pound. AFter 10 days, a white dog was seen leading her furkid back up to the gate. His furkid so dirty and thin. No one saw the white dog again. No one can explain. Must be angel of God leading the lost furkid back.

Thank you very much for your encouragement. I have been in contact with Paws which assured me that Puchong Pound would not be taking dogs from PJ. Paws just received another brown dog from MPPJ yesterday. They told me to keep calling them everyday in case MPPJ comes with dogs.

Have printed posters and stuck them on trees and lamp posts in the neighbourhood. Have also slipped some into postboxes in hopes that one of the house owners may have kindly taken her in.

Will continue to keep praying and hoping to see her soon.

Yes i have personally see the dog with pipimom today. If you can check it out..If you do not know the place..i be glad to take you there.....give us a call...
The dog have very similar character of your dog..
It have brown and black marking on the face. And it ears is very distinct. It sharp but i am not sure if it is rounder as i didnt when in the cage and see it myself....

The dog that we saw was at the puppies corner..the one new to the office...it right at the back of the corner..did you check that place..but make sure you didnt go in alone because Julie told me the adult dog in that cage is quite unpredictable..

Dear Nicki,

Went to Paws this morning. Saw more than 1 dog with Tiggy's markings but no Tiggy...Frown I went to the puppy's section to check as well. Called Tiggy's name but no response - Tiggy always barks in response to my call...

Went again during lunchtime with some dog food for the dogs. Still no sign of Tiggy.

Well, i have to start work tomorrow and won't be able to visit Paws that often. Hopefully someone will see her and call me. I just pray that she is safe and sound somewhere. Someday maybe she will come home...

I just want to say thank you to all of you in the forum for helping keep an eye out. I truly appreciate it.

hi..today i get up and i found a dog wondering on my street and i wonder is it tiggy..

It have a sharp face with two brown dot on top of the yes ( look like rottie eyes)

sharp pointed ear..

Skin and tall and i notice there is a tiny brown dot at the back tight leg- on the left..

use to wear a collar- marking still visible and it is a male

It been wondering at my place for a couple of day and i stay in serdang area

I will never forget her. In all my years of having dogs, I have never lost one - now I know how painful the experience is.

I am thinking about another dog. My other dog, Tiffany is looking very sad and I want to give her some company. Was dreaming about adopting so I was looking through the posts on adoption. I noticed the post on Ebony and I felt really sorry for her. Was even more disappointed when the thread about Ebony was taken out so we can't get updates on her. I really hope she lives because she reminds me of a dog i adopted many years ago. Vicky was peeing blood as a puppy and no one wanted her in the litter - so owner gave her to me. She grew up to be one of my best dogs I ever had (she died at the age of 9 of a heart attack because she was chasing the neighbour's chicken!).

I am now hoping if Ebony survives. I would also like to pay for her treatment too (I have tt-ed some money into the leecy's account - please update me if more is needed). I really want to say I will adopt her but my mother is against me taking another dog at the moment...... so sad....

hi, I think i can answer your question about ebony or i mena update you..
Do you remember Pipimom from the earlier post on you r tiggy, the lady who told us about your might be tiggy at paws??
She is keeping ebony now. Ebony now is living with her and other dog of her by the name brownie..I manage to get to see ebony and brownie about 3 weeks ago and she is doing fine..in fact she is strong..so no worry on ebony..she is in a good hand..
Dont force yourself in getting another dog if situation doesnt allow..like me i have my dog to play with others dog during the weekend because since i lose one dog 2 months ago, i didint get a new one..so i afraid that he is lonely, i took him to play with my neighbour and friends dog when i am free. But the most important is that u try to spend quite amount a time with tiffany..she wont feel that lose if some one is always be by her side to go thru this lost...so be strong and do chat with u more in the future...take care and have a nice day

May I ask what time do you usually see the dog? Usually there are no dogs in the evenings as the traffic in the area is rather congested..

Wow actually usually around that time. I run a restaurant in KL so I normally get back to Gasing anywhere from 1am to 5am. I've seen it various times around 2-3am. And yeah, maybe it's the same one you've seen cuz it always see it around Ipoh Chicken, up to the Assunta traffic light.

how large is Tiggy and does Tiggy look like like black Lab?

I have pasted a picture of a dog which looks like Tiggy in this thread - never had a picture of her before. TIggy has two brown spots above her eyes like a rottie. Tiggy is taller than the dog in the picture though - maybe around 1.5 feet tall (on four paws). The dog I saw at Ipoh Chicken was taller and bigger (broader) making me suspect the dog is male.... Tiggy is female dog.

I will try to go and take a look tonight to see if it is her....

So will we (my partner) saw her again last night, which is why I posted to begin with. It's been such a long time seeing this dog out there. We tried to entice the dog into the car but dog was wary. That's a good thing I suppose in the biggger picture :)

Errr... just wanna get it straight. The Ebony Nicky said in her post is Sweetie, not Ebony the puppy. Sweetie was named Ebony before and is a 4 year old dog.

I have sometime in March/April adopted a 1.5 yr old dog from Paws. Frown She is called Pumpkin and she is now keeping my Lad company.

That's is the reason why my parents are discouraging me from trying to track down Tiggy (I think) because I already have 3 dogs at home. Unsure
