pup training sessions

Hi,

Suven here. Just wondering if anyone knows where I can enrol for dog training classes? I know puppy.com has one but it only starts next March. I have a 3 months old beagle now and I'd like to train him before he gets too old... preferably the class can start very soonish maybe within this month... thanks!

Hugs,

Suven

Re: [suven_evin] pup training sessions

hi suvin_evin

the puppy class is for puppies below 6 months old.... and the basic class is for dogs above 6 months old... so you do not have to worried about your beagle getting old.... the puppy.com obedience basic class have dogs in years also.... it is never too old to train your dog...

Re: [suven_evin] pup training sessions

Hi Suven,

One thing before thinking of training the pup, have your beagle gotten all his 3 jabs ? if not, even if your beagle is of age to train, without the 3 jab it is not advisable to bring ur beagle pup out for training as he have not gotten all the necessary precaution against virus and diseases which can be transmitted to a dog without proper vaccination.

When is your pup's last injection ? with that date, abt 2 weeks later you can properly brings him out for the necessary training and use that as your start of training date.

Remember, its never too old to train your dog. I'm training mine at the age of 2 + and he is going 3 in few days time.

cheers,
minglmy

Re: [suven_evin] pup training sessions

Wow, ur timing a bit rush to train the dog right ! I mean it takes abt 10 - 11 weeks of training which comes to abt 2 - 3 months. In the event of any holidays the training wud be postpone to the week after so it will stretch.

If you want to find a training that starts on Jan you can either check with Pet Safari and MKA as they too organise group training or go for a personal trainer on a 1 to 1 or a small group basis. For the 1 to 1 or a small group freelance training some might charge more expensive. My friend went for a small group training which cost them RM 800 per dog.

You can check with our daily newspaper for contacts too. I know of a friend who does the RM 800 training lar if you are interested and doesn't mind the cost ( she is a good trainer and have her training in London )
