在整個國家的流浪狗政策都主張「以殺制量」的時代，「安樂死」成為人類屠殺其他動物的合法藉口，可是，因為執行者不尊重生命，成為當今最嚴重的問題之一。安樂死的合理性一直受到爭議，究竟人類有沒有權利決定這些動物的生死？安樂死完全不痛苦嗎？

根據估計，台灣犬隻總數量有一百七十萬隻，其中超過一百四十萬隻沒有絕育，而農委會公布的重要施政計畫，卻沒有將犬隻絕育列入施政目標。關懷生命協會以台北市動物之家推估流浪動物捕殺成本，結果發現加上人事、管理成本後，每捕殺一隻流浪狗需花費新台幣四千八百多元。陳建銘指出，絕育比捕殺每隻要便宜兩千三百元以上，且每隻流浪動物一進公立收容所，就要花三千六百多元，七天後就必須安樂死，如果交由民間收容所，相同的經費可以飼養一百八十天。

請支持「以絕育代替捕殺」！

台灣每年有五至六萬隻狗死在收容所，我們希望能藉由良好的絕育措施，將死亡的數目減到現在的一半以下。這不是什麼天方夜譚，每年收容所認領養就有13000隻，若強制將這些動物絕育，再加強其他的絕育獎勵計畫，每年增加絕育兩萬隻並不是難事。減少兩萬隻有生育能力的動物，街上自然會少幾萬隻流浪動物，收容所安樂死及病亡數減半是理所當然的。省下的收容所費用可供作絕育經費，不會增加社會的負擔。

如果這個絕育計畫成為事實，每年可以減少犧牲數萬隻流浪動物，在數十年內，就有上百萬的動物得救！請您支持這個計畫，在您有生之年，可以拯救上百萬個生命！

Oh my God...i was speechless...can someone tell me where tat happened? cos..i can't read mandrin...n i thought they would hav done these things in a more merciful manner... Anger is all i'm feelin right now...i hope those ppl get haunted for this..isn't there somethin we can do about these things...Animals Rights or somethin...i'm sure tats not the only place tat these things are done...horrid!! these are innocent creatures...mongrel or no mongrel...they are more noble n far better than us humans!!

It is very sad and painful to watch this clip, especially the one that kept staring at the others. One even had a wagging tail..

This is the fate of unwanted dogs... being put to sleep (either by this method, or other methods) because they have no home to go to, and nobody wants to give them a loving home Frown

We must really be responsible owners, making sure that our dogs do not have any accidental mating, producing more and more dogs which may end up being strays, that may get wounded/ killed by car, or placed in dog pounds for adoption...or put to sleep.

The same for cats Unsure

Responsible owners we all must be!

After hearing other member said so sad and cruel...I think I better not watch...I can't bear to see dogs suffer...I will cry and my heart pains...

Just pray for them that they are well and safe in heaven...pray too to those that are still living to have a better, safer life on earth...pray that human won't be so inhuman...

The country𠏋 stray dog𠏋 policy is to control the population of stray aniamls by killing them. 𡦖eaceful-killing pills� have become an excuse( to be more exact : way) humans used to kill animals. The people who practice this do not respect the value of life. The problems raised are: do we have to rights to decide the fate of these animals? will 鯿eaceful-killing pills� cause any pain to the animals?

According to the research done, the total no of stray dogs in Taiwan is 1700000, more than 1400000 are not spayed/neutered. The dogs that are sent to the shelter will be put to sleep after one week.

Please support � spay them instead of killing them� policy!

There are about 5-600000 dogs killed in the shelter, we hope to reduce the number of deaths by spaying/neutering. this is possible because the shelter will adopt about 13000 strays each year, if we neuter these animals n in addition to other neutering project, we will be able to reduce the deaths n money used for the pills.

If this neutering project can be materialized, we would be able to save thousands of innocent lives each year!!! Please support this project. Life is short, start doing good deeds by saving millions of lives. It is possible.
