Don't be too eager and enthusiatic about the Malacca show on Nov.17th. News has it that entries are going to be very poor, reasons I don't have to give because it is privilege information. After the closing date on Nov 2. and if there are less than 110 entries, the show will be cancelled. As far as I know 50 dogs from Ipoh will not be going to Malacca. 15 to 20 from Selangor will not be taking part. Penang may only send 3-5 animal. So what you have left are dogs from Seremban, J.B and about 50-70 from Selangor. Add up all the entries, it could just if we are lucky to have 110 animal. shedawan

Hi Shedawan
Thanks for the info... but what are the reasons for the poor showing? Because it is too far to travel? Or too close to other shows? We are looking forward to it though if it happens. Are you going?

Well you will just need to wait for the entry form from MKA, submit it and wait to see if the show will go on. If there is any changes, MKA will notify you in due course. To find out more, just ring to MKA at .

Hi Arthur,
Do you know if non-participants is allowed to be there too? with our doggy. Thinking of maybe can bring snuffy down for a day trip to watch the show as I think MKA class most probably is canceled becoz of the dog show.
Any doggy friendly places anybody know of in Malaca?

Yes, bring Snuffy along for the experience. She's such a quiet girl, shud be no problem at all. Bring along her leash and some water. You can "park" with us at the benching area.

Hi Monsi,
Please verify if the directions listed below to reach Pay Fong High School, Melaka are correct and valid. (Sorry unable to provide map)
Turn off the North-South PLUS highway at Air Keroh Toll Plaza.
Follow the directions indicated on signboards leading to Bandar Melaka. Roads maybe windy, have to pass several traffic lights. Landmarks to look for are Jaya Jusco on righthand side and further down followed by General Hospital on Lefthand side. Continue on till you see Ramada Renaissance Hotel on the Righthand side.
At the Ramada Renaissance Hotel, make a RIGHT turn and follow the road till you cross a bridge. There'll be a traffic light immediately after. This is traffic light #1. Continue on till you come to the 2nd traffic light and now turn LEFT.
Follow the road that will take you pass a government complex on the Left and the stadium on the Right. You should now be able to see Pay Fong School.

The show will begin with minor puppies class and then toy group. Working group and pastoral group should be towards the end in the afternoon session. I am estimating the time base on the exhibitor's number that I have and I may be wrong

Minor puppies class is always the first group to enter the ring. You should there early and groom your luckey properly to be ready at 9:15am to enter the ring. Cheers.

Hi!
Number 126 probably means the cocker spaniel breed will be judged later during the day. However, since Luckey is entering for minor puppy, her name will be listed twice in the 197th show booklet. Once in the minor puppy competition and again in the cocker spaniel breed category. However, Luckey's exhibit number 126 will NOT be listed in the cocker spaniel breed competition (as minor puppies CANNOT compete in the breed categories)

Hi there!
I have to withdraw Pepper cos' she's showing the first signs of heat. Lee Sha will not be shown till her leg furnishings grow back some more. She also has become very shy round strangers and we are still working on that. So that leaves only Lee Ron boy.
We normally stick around for a while after we finish. As for refreshment, there's usually a stall or two selling food and drinks. Just bring your own water and Luckey's food/drink.
Since you will be handling Luckey, most ladies wear a blouse/pants outfit with low heel shoes. A safety pin is also recommend to attach the exhibitor pass to your outfit.

Hi Arthur, thanks for the help!
Your LeeSha has become shy? Well Lcukey seems really shy round strangers and we're working very hard on that... been trying to take her out a lot to get her used to things, she is better than when you met her at the Padang, but only 2 more days of acclimatization! yikes! But we're going anyway coz the dog show will be fun and she has to start somewhere
When you say blouse / pants outfit, do you mean something relatively smart? Does this mean sports T-shirts with collar and jeans are out? What about sneakers, coz with some heels the heels might clip Luckey when trying to trot her ?
