That's wonderful! Mine will only stand still if i give him the stand command, if i don't he'll try and move slowly to the corner of the bathroom....when it's time for his bath time and i say the words "pom pom" he'll run to the corner and hide....for someone who likes to swim he sure doesn't like his baths. Glad Mocca is being a good girl about it!
LOL. I'm glad she's being so good about it too! Trust me, bathing a pup who keeps trying to run away or jump on you is a real chore. Yesterday I kept on repeating "Good Girl" as I was bathing her... she tried to "hug" me once or twice, but other than that, I finished relatively dry . At least your dog will stand still if you tell him to
i bath Daren once a week n also dry his hair by using hair dryer. by the way, will this spoilt his hair condition tat just like human if everytime use dryer?
I bathe Mocca on a leash to keep her from running too far, lol. I'm still waiting for the day that she behaves like Sandra... Sandra will stand perfectly still without a leash/collar. And I taught her to shake on command - I can step away and tell her to shake, that way I don't get wet. Now if only Mocca would do that....
HI Melanie, My Jazz doesn't like bathing as well.. but as for the face and the goo coming out from thier eyes, you can always buy 'tears out' from the pet shop and wipe it against thier eyes or simply take cotton balls soak them in warm water and gentle wipe it off thier face, repeat this a few times and it will go off in no time. You might also the food you prepare for your doggie. Certain dog food are 'heaty' and causes your doggie to produces even more goo coming out from thier eyes!!
Tks for the advice, and yes, sometimes I do notice quiet a lot of 'goo' at the side of her eyes. Normally I'll just take it out using my finger tip which I think quite uncomfortable for her, thats why she keep on moving here and there.
I was told to use dettol antiseptic to wipe her fur and the face , do u have any idea?
I think you should at least soak the cotton bud first instead of taking it off from your fingers.. not so hygiene and most importantly, it' hurts as thier 'goo' tends to stick on thier eye lashes or fur... you can always go down to your nearest pet shop to buy the 'Tears Wipe' just like Ear Powder.. :)
Yeap, PyRoMaNiAc, pls share wiht us on how to train our pup to stand still and shake on command. something i really think like am i bath myself or bath Bonney. Or may be she bath me. ahhahhaahha
