yes, that's the one....

The owner has one male and one female. Both are harlequins. The female looks nice...with its sagging muzzle. The black markings are quite evenly distributed over its body... The size is ok for female...Honestly, I didn't see many females around in Klang Valley...

The owner brought me to the back of the house....OH my GOD,... a GIANT cropped male harlequin....it is so.........HUGE!!! According to the owner, the male is on sale too... Guess how much it costs?? RM5K man!!! I wish I have that amount now..... Unimpressed

RM2.8k abit expensive ya.. According to the owner, he bred the female once, and there were 14 pups in that litter. 7 harlequins and 7 black pups. I also viewed the certificate of both parents. Very good bloodline though... hurry...convince your dad... Wink

Aiyo, if got pups... for sure I sell u cheap cheap one!hehehehe... Smile

I plan to breed Crystal on the next heat, around February 2004.

Oh ya, I sent Raven for dressing the other day. THe doctor said he is doing fine...but Im abit worry lar. Seems like he starts to scratch alot lately.... must be very itchy now... and when he scratches his ears, they(ears) tend to slant inward...instead of standing up straight parallelly.... Unsure

What do u advise?

yea... another 2 more to go...hopefully his ears will stand up straight...

wow...5k..that's quite a bit.. but i guess he'll surely be sold..after all he's big, harlequin and ears cropped...was he imported?

try bargain with the owner lo...say you love danes..have a couple at home...maybe 2.5 k?

abt the ears...i think better put the collar on..just in case. oh, is yours just bandaged or is it bandaged to this um..sort of cup that holds it up?

just take all the precautions and everything will be fine.

oh..not sure abt this..but maybe you could put on the collar even after the last 2 changes? give extra time, just in case. better to be safe than sorry.

Actually, the owner is letting everyone to bid. So far, someone offerring 5.5k. Yup..the male's parents are from Netherland.

If I had only crystal, for sure I would buy. Already have 2 giant dogs in a small house...don't think I will get one more la.... perhaps one of them has to sleep on my bed ..... Crazy

I think your house can fit for another 2 dogs though... Cool

about Raven's ears, the vet bandaged raven since the first day without using other tools. I suggested of using a cup to support the ears, but the vet said no need.. Well....just being worry la... I will take extra precautious...thanks for your advice.

the problem is not whether can fit or not.. 3 dogs already..need time to jaga..some more need $$$ to maintain..eh..how you know whether i stay in bungalow or not? i nvr say also.. Tongue

Thanks again for bringing me to view the oscar...

Well, oscar has the size of GD. He has a shinny black coat. But, I think it is important for the owner(Peggy right?) to train Oscar since she said she can't handle oscar when bringing oscar out for walk... right? Such a big giant dog...... I wish crystal has that size....

Did you notice that the back of oscar is not straight? (I mean abit bengkok one) Some more the back legs are not so strong... lacking of excersice I guess.... The owner must be putting the leash on oscar all the time.

um....we do a lot of discovery at USJ lately, huh? I for sure will continue with this mission=====> to see more danes... :) hee...

Compares to the PJ old town harlequin, I think oscar is not so stocky. The chest is not broad enough but ....very deep though. Thinking of letting crystal to mate with oscar....

hav you seen the other dane at your area that Peggy mentioned??? THe brother of oscar....

Well...after seeing all the danes.... I still think that the PJ old toown Harlequin is the best..so far. I strongly recommend you to go and have a look...seriously.

yea..have to train him la...poor dog..have such big long legs and so much energy..

yea..i did..i mentioned that to her..she said they(most ppl) pull the danes legs so the back will not bengkok(? no idea what she meant?)

yea..did you notice his paws too? they were bent inward..

yup..saw the chest..

i think he would make a nice stud...but better be sure the bengkok back is not genetic..

nope haven't seen him.. =(

will try la..but not much time for this week..exam =(

haven't seen/heard any vcd's on danes

but i know you can borrow tapes on dogs(not sure if they have any abt danes) from MKA if you are a member. well, last time i could..but that was abt 3-4 yrs ago..not sure they still have that now.

ops...Penny instead of Peggy.... have difficulty in remorizing names....

I think the back of oscar is not inherited... It is due to the environment...maybe.....jusy my pov only ar...
Furthermore, the floor is too slippery for oscar...which caused the legs to bent inward??? don't you think so??

Today I might go and find the oscar's brother near to the MPSJ there. Hope I can find it... Later, I will tell you the whereabout...

PMR exams coming soon meh?? Mine just over lar. Thank god.....

Oh yea..I got books on GD... if you want, I can lend them to you after your PMR... got some nice pics of GD...

yea..the back might not..i think it's caused more by the weak legs(like u said and also just remembered reading abt that)

but i do know that the paws which are bent inwards can also be inherited..some puppies are born with it.

yup..real pmr next month..now is trials.

Last time la..now no more..membershipe expired already..didn't renew also coz i didn't really do much.

anyway, kennel name is like your dog's surname.

ex:

Mal. Ch. Walamara's Pure Heart of Gold, Walamara's New Game In Town, Walamara's Fame 'N' Fortune are all from the Walamara Kennel(name of kennel) sort of like the "brand" of a certain breed

usually ppl don't use their name's as a kennel name coz.. sound abit.. er.. "chi plak" kennel name is you could say a brand..so if you have a chun kennel name like er..well, can't think of a good kennel name at the moment.. sorry.

ok..say you have 2 different brands of shampoo(both same quality).One is called Enhance Herbal Shampoo the other is called Ah Wong's Choice..which one would you choose?

not sure in M'sia got or not..but I know there are such things as endurance tests where owners and dogs have to run together in a race in the shortest time possible.

Is there any standard kennel name for a specific breed?? Let say, great dane will have surname like say Walamara...? or is that up to the owner to decide whatever name he wish???

ok...I understand what you were trying to say in your shampoo example... Is it better to come out with something sounds "canggih" one instead of Ah Beng Kennel...right?

hi Chloe,

oh ya, the other day when I was driving back from the back of subang parade, I spotted oscar at the empty field with an Indian worker from the vet. I guess, he brought oscar there to poo poo... Smile

Penny was outstation according to the indian fella.

I got down and have a short chat with the the indian fella. He said oscar has hip problem... Unsure

Wondering if this is genetic inherited or because of the owner who does not take good care of oscar.....

well, still didn't find oscar's brother yet... Unsure

btw, raven 's ears are healing. Should be able to take out the bandage by this week... see what the vet says later...

It could be Oscar ate food too high in protein and grew too fast. Unsure

About Raven, the last time when the vet took the bandage out, the ears were standing when the vet knocked on something (to get his attention). I believe they will stand up. Smile

yea..I remember penny showed us the pack of dog food that she feed oscar. But can't remember whether it is for puppy or adult dog...

Bringing Raven for gathering ar? Im thinking of bringing Raven instead of Crystal coz Crystal is too big to fit in my car.. Unsure

She will feel uncomfortable lar. I will bring Raven most likely...
