Hi !

I'm gonna go for the Xmas party at KK! With Bumper, of course.

I really buy what you said about GR's needing to constantly be with people. My family takes turns to help look after him. When I'm at work, my mum makes sure he gets play time. My dad takes over when he gets back from the office. As usual, I'm the early morning and late-nite playtime pal. Heh.

However, a funny/weird thing happened when I went to Hong Kong for 6 days.

Bumper wouldn't play; and he ate very very little :o Furthermore, my dad caught him shivering in one of his hind legs once.

He would lie down mostly with his head down (according to my Mum, anyway.)

My parents brought him to the vet because they got really worried. They thought he had indigestion or seomthing. But he doc said that Bumper might be suffering from depression.

I feel really bad as well, because, now that it's rainy days, I can't take him out for walks as often as I used to.

How's your new dog :D? (Thanks for your concern for Bumper.)

Hmmm...depression.... not too good... you should call home and talk to Bumper Boy on the phone so he could at least listen to mummy's voice.

Oh dear~ ya... rainy days... can't walk my dogs out too. they bored, i bored.... Unsure

My beagle pup is just doing fine. growing very fast, eats a lot, poo a lot, and play a lot!! he seems very BUSY every second, sniffing everywhere anytime. Happy to see him get along well with my old dog which is suppose very agressive and dominant dog. Maybe he jsut give way to my lil pup. Wink

would love to stop by your house one of these day and give Bumper a GOOD stroke.... he's a lovely boy~ Smile

He's back to normal now. Play also very rough. I got scratches on my legs! So my colleagues think I'm a victim of child abuse. LOL.

What's the name of your Beagle? He sounds so cute. They just love sniffing around.

You should come over and introduce your doggies to Bumper!!!! He secretly hinting that he needs a friend. How? Well, I got this very real looking GR stuffed toy from Germany for my birthday and I always place him (Hektor) on top of this not-very-high cupboard in my room. And everytime, before bed-time, Bumper will jump up and "ask" me to bring the stuffed toy down. And when I do, the silly billy will get extremely excited.

Heh.

Yeah, I'm still at work. Leaving soon, though.

I work in advertising, so Xmas time is usually busy because all the clients want to finish their budget (i.e more work) and plan for next year's jobs (i.e MORE WORK).

People always tell me that if you work in advertising, you shld forget about having a dog. But I've tried not having one for 8 years. It has been difficult because I know the benefits of having something to love (like a child) - it's very stress-relieving!

A lot of discipline is required, of course. But sacrifices need to be made when you love something/someone anyway.

So, have to work around the WORK, Frown

and make sure the doggy is mentally and emotionally well.

Yeah, Bumper very playful. Sometimes, want to smack his backside but then his backside so pretty so we end up just scolding him LOL.

Brought him to visit his GR girlfriend at house number 46, up Jalan Durian 2 some weeks ago. And he tired her out after a few minutes. She came out after a while to play with him again, heh heh.

What do you feed BeanBean?

I' m feeding and BeanBean B2B, Canidae & O2 Limited, "mix & match" Tongue

and Nupro supplement. Alternately, I add in raw eggs, pork, chicken necks or yogurt to their food.

I know what you mean - Bumper's "bum" is worth kissing.

I think my Mum made Bumper "kiss" your hand, also.

He knows a few commands pretty well. Especially "please" because he's such a greedy dog.

Wow, you actually put chicken necks in your dogs' meals?

I've been trying to keep him to a diet of kibble. I use Nutro which a lot of petshop owners and docs recommend. But for a special treat (like his birthdays and weekends) he gets puppy meat (canned) mixed into the kibble.

We also have biscuits and apples for him (tea-time).

My dad spoils him more than I do - so I suspect that's the reason why our little furry friend sometimes refuses to eat his breakfast kibble hoping we would give him human food (he has two meals a day, morning and night). Very noti leh....

Oh one more thing, ,

You ask whether #46 has GR -actually I think you don't see her ("WaiWai") because she's mostly inside the house.

Apparently the owner already knows about puppy.com.my so hopefully he and his girlfriend knows about the Xmas gathering.

I'm thinking of adding velcote into Bumper's meals - apparently it's good for the skin and hair. What do you think?

Yes, I feed kibbles with chicken necks, but not everyday though... i still feeding him kibbles every meal, but i would add something NICE (surprise~) into the bowl.
I dunno much about "velcote", sorry.... cant comment much about it. But since i've tried Nupro on my dogs, so i'm more confident on it, and i dun need to get them any other supplement which save me quite some money too.

am really hope to see both Bumper and WaiWai to in one of our gatherings. Hope u all could join us on 21st for the xmas party and also the K9 Day on 11th January.
