frankly speaking, Peke is not easy to breed due to their body structure and the big head skull. And due to the flat mouth, the newborn need full time to look after them. I have so many sleepless night to be with the peke babies. Frown

haiz, even more time consuming than looking after human babies. Crazy

My Ayako's head is small but body is fat...she eat too much..she will eat anything in cluding fruits & vegy,,anything that is not busuk... Pirate

Hi..need some advice from you guys.

I toilet trained Fluffy, he is doing good all this while but out of a sudden, he started to poo in one of the room. Apparently, he knew his mistake. by the time i got home and he is not there to welcome me, i knew he must have did something wrong. i scolded him badly and he stopped doing tat for a while, things get back again. why is he behaving this way? want to grab attention? is any of your peks behaving this way?

Pek will keep themself & his living area as clean as possible,not sure how near / far is his tiolet ?

Accidents bounce to happened,if they are having stomach problem,they will try to go as far as possible, that is what my Jiro is done..I don't think he has any intentions to make you angry. That may be his favarite spot for discharge,if that so, you may have to lock that room all the time. Clean that spot wiht chororine and ensure no smell at that spot.

Pek are not like other breed who will always welcome you you when you are back..they will just lie down there and wait for you, they will only get excited if you are gone for long hours..

some times I though my dogs are missing when I don't see them after opening the door...and i slowly get used to this scenerio.

thanks.....i am staying in a condo, so the toilet is not very far...anyway will continue to monitor him loh...dunno what he wants....after scolded him, he become more manja....aduh Crazy

anyway fluffy just done his second jab only...i was thinking whether can bring him to BU this Sunday....

Dear Pek lovers, need some advice. Fluffy has started shedding since few weeks back but i notice only those fur at his bottom part is shedded off whereas the head area still remain with long baby fur, it's not evenly shedded off, so looks kinda weird and funny. the new fur is short and curly... is this normal??

recently he started to have licking habit. he tends to lick every inches on the floor, i checked on the floor but there isnt anything there...he dun used to do this, wondering why? is he looking for spot to mark territory? by the way, in what age they will start to lift up their leg for pee????

Hi,

My Jiro & Ayako alos shadded a lot recently,may due to the season is changing,normally puppy will shadd when there are about 6 to 8 months time. Male dog will start to leave leg when they are 1 year old, or when they are mature.

Why lick on the floor ? I really no idea leh..what kind of floor celaner you use ? Or he just sniff the floor only ?

I'be been following this forum for 2 mths, and i have decided to get an account and jot some words here. I got a peke 2 mths ago. He is 1 yrs plus now. He is cute and adorable. Hope tht continuing to view this website, will let us know more abt this breed and also hope to know more peke owner out there.

welcome to this forum, you have very nice Pek..the one showing in your avatar ?

I have been dreamign to get a Pek like that, but my Pek looks different, they are so much different form other Pek.Of course Jiro is half,so he is nore Tibetan Spaniel look, My Ayako is suppose to be pure Pek but she have monkey face, but I still loves both of them very very much, event more than my wife..

luckily wife don't surf to this site

Both of them have brough me joy and laughter, I hardly angry angry or scold them.

But one thing I could not understand is why AYAKo always feel hungry and ask for food ? She is already over weight and yet wants to makan makan...nos stop. hus really worried me.

Jiro was just came back from hospital after warded for 4 days, it's almost feel like end of the world for me when we found out he was sick. Luckily he is ok after going through all the medication and treatement. He is back to his normal self and being naughty again

I love naughty dog actually..I don't like those humanized dog..

Hope to see you soem time soon..

haha. thanks for your comment on my peke. Its kinda fated for both of us. Me from KL and my peke from sban. My fren saw it and capture a few pic of him and sent it to me. He asked "so how?? u wan it??" then i replied "yeah, i kinda looking for a dog also" It costs me a bomb also, till i receive the certificate from the pet shop. I'm quite shocked also seeing his quality bloodlines. Its a champion line it is. Hahaha. Luckily i did some part time in a pet shop as a groomer or else i wouldn't know how to maintain his beautiful yet 4 inch thick coat. I must say, Peke is sure an intelligent breed. Being with me merely 2 mths and he is learning many tricks too. Since he is my first dog, i still have a lot to learn how to be a good dog owner too. Hope u guys will share some ideas with me too.

I guess the only way to stop Ayako ifrom acting in such manner is to stop feed her eventhough she beg for it. Sometimes we have to emphasize the word 'NO' to them and have to make sure they understands it or else they will treat it as one of the game which u used to play with them. Actually i'm quite fortunate for my peke to understands to. Sometimes i put some items on the floor, he would understands what to play with and what not to play with. Eventhough i'm eating kfc in front of him, he wouldn't come to beg for it. I guess this works on my peke. U should try this trick ya. Good luck to u....

I can also see that is really high quality champion line, you should take part in competition to maitain the title or breed the next geneartion, I also wanted such kind of blood line, but no fate lah,may be 10 years later or so...

I have seen one in Pet Safari and was in the Pet shop for mnay months but nobody value such kind of blood line unless he is a breeder..I wanted to keep him,but I already have 2 at home...I have been dreaming of getting him home...but couldn't..at last he was missing or may have been use for some other purpose laready,..it's realy regret experience for me...

So are you planning to show your Pek in near future ?

not many people here fancy Peke Crazy

and some of them not even come across this breed. Frown

Peke I can say is a very intelligent breed, they are very calm and steady, and can say no barking at all, is a very nice indoor pet.

Ya lor...and they always thought Pek is Shitzu...actually many Pek owner also,but most of them are kept at hom,coz cannot take the heat outside mah..

And most of the Pek owner are low profile...anyway,Pek is a unique breed,I love them very very much.

Haha, i've been daydreaming of bringing my peke to competition too. But first I have to teach him how to stand , pose and walk on the leash. Haha. I have to agree that they r calm and steady breed and don't bark a lot. Its been good that at least the forum is running a bit active now compared to past few months.

My Pek are doing ok now, if u have time to check through JIo & Ayako's blog,then u will know them.

AYako still young anf not waiting for her 2nd heat, just let it be narutal,no specila intention or urgent requirement,onec got pupies means more responsibility lah..

I sure will come to support you if you are in the competition.

Guess u have to have spend lots of time to comb and groom your Pek. he seems have very thick underneath hair..My Ayako has shadded all her 2nd coat,left only the external coat,so she is not that hot when going out. Ayako has completed the basic OB course and now attending pre-novince class, she and me will have to attend exam in two weeks time.

Oohhh, its good to bring your beloved peke for classes ma. I'm thinking also to bring my peke to courses. Haha, maybe i'm juzt too over excited for my first dog. Want all the best for him. long time din't reply msg in here de...cos bz with my job.

Seem like our group become bigger and bigger de.... very hapi to see that. For the last event in BU, i went there, but din't see many peke over there.

So...when is the next big event in BU???? then we must hv a good plan to gather all the peke lover to hv out peke gathering. hehe...

But for the outstation peke lover, that is a problem for u all...right. Cos the event is in KL...haha...

Beside, any idea for all the peke lovers hv a gathering beside those events??? Musashi....how??? any idea???
