Oh... ok, maybe next time. I always bring Mango and Ciku to Uni heheheh and everyone loved them... so sad coz now only left Mango. Yes, it is low calcium absorbtion. I feed them the cut vege and hibiscus plant with a spinkle of calcium powder for reptiles, it only looks like Mango benefited and not Ciku. Ciku also had a dull brownish shell while Mango had a shony one with out-standing markings.
Ah, I think there was a problem with the food you gave hope. Stars cannot eat too french beans and carrots. It doesn't provide the proper nutrition I guess. Pellets, my friend's star is pickier than yours. My friend's star name Mushroom was Ciku's sister and their size really was a big difference. Anyway, Mushroom hates vege and eats pellets soaked in water everyday. Weird but not good if eaten everyday, should only be given 2 or 3 times a week.
My Mango's diet is really weird hahaha.... Hibiscus leaves and flowers, garden grass, pellets for land tortoises, choy sam, romaine lettuce, choy tam and occaisonally spinach and kangkong. I was adviced to also feed cactus!!!! Bt I'm too scared to do that, later dunno what would happen.
Ah, memang after a loss, one cannot throw it away. My enclosure is actually indoors, I have a smaller one outside for sunning.
Your Faith is like my Willy. He gets jealous when I let out Ciku and Mango to walk about and would sniff and try to poke them. Once, I left Mango out to sun and Willy gave me a shock when he brought Mango into the house in his mouth!!!!! Thank goodness there were no injury to her. I know what you mean, I still feel Ciku around me and when I think fo him, I would surely cry coz I have been babying and nursing him everyday till he died.
Willy, my beloved shih tzu (22 March 1994- 8 August 2005) May you rest and live happily in Rainbow Bridge with the rest. You will forever be deeply missed by all.
