i know there are a few of them really upset over the change of date, its true that you all are doing a great job and i only can thank and appreciate the effort.
a suggestion though ..
on each events' forum, on each page, on top there should be 3 links
1. participant list - this way u don't use up the space on the forum pages. a list of 50+ users updated some 10 times on each page of the forum - u can imagine what remains in the forum and the subsequent hassle of a person online with a ordinary non-highband/streamyx connection. participants need to post on the forum only their details, anyway the admin is updating their records, why not at one place rather at so many places
2. info - crucial information about the event; map, venue, time, urgent alerts like change of schedule etc. can be compiled here. i dont think this shd be repeated another time on the forum. this way the members are not confused where to look. as someone pointed some of us fail to look at the forum regularly and to browse thru all the pages needs quite a lot of time
3. faqs about the event .. do i have to bring my kennel? dog food provided? etc. important queries that all will be interested compiled from the forum into one place. then the forum will be easy to use for communications between the members and, information from the admin will be distinct
