HOLLA! it's been centuries ago since the last time i came back on the column to read the threads! how thing going on?! i think you ppl must be having lots of fun chatting and SHOPPING (Malaysia Grand Sale....) just finished performing in a concert last month and traveling (business trip) from Pahang. phew.... and still be busy till October..
i miss out lots of thing. one of it is the UPM open day for doggies... i wonder if anyone was there?
WOW... time flies..... u r at US now. well, remember to study hard (since your family has "invested" a big amount of capital on u and for the last few years of your education "schooling liife" , do your best) and play hard too! (since u r already there)
long time no hear from you...hehe...sorry for my late reply.. yeah..big pressure to study hard..if not it'd be like wasting a whole load of money... it's already like my 3rd week here but i feel like i'm here for so long already la...
Just out of curiosity but what concert did u perform for?
Hi kesuke aka tze ping (that is, if istill remember ur name!) .miss u tons..how are u and how's the big us of a is treating ya? I'm leaving for me backpack trip tomo...woo hoo
i'm one of the player from the Chinese Orchestra. i play er-hu and still joining various orchestras during their performance after my graduation from school coz i love it. hope i didn't make u yawn..... actually chinese orchestra is developing in another direction from the westerner's music industry where it is not familiar to our ppl. because of this, they tense to like having this feeling like "err..... it sounds kindoff old fashion....." but it's not if u really listen carefully. well, it's all about understanding.
the most recent concert that i performed was the "Rythmn of Yue" at DBKL during July... if u've ever notice that from the papers.
maybe i'll talk more if u like to listen about it.
by the way, nice to *meet* u.

No worries m8. I'm a music student myself so u've got hold of the right person to talk nuts about music .That's the reason why i asked u about the concert thing. That's a nice instrument. I hope to learn it someday as a surprise for my dad as he wants to see me play the er hu but ain't sure about the price and stuff and i'm already a little "westernized" so am not sure too haha.
er-hu is easy to learn IF u put enough effort on it. and the price is not expensive compare to piano. coz the range is from rm300 (anything below 300 is just wasting your money-no sound quality at all) till RMxxxxx is available. usually i'll get the range between RM1500 till RM2000. it's affortable and the quality is good as well. and i can recommend some good quality teacher to u if u r interested (only if u r staying in Klang Valley). i don't teach coz i have no time and i don't have patience with HUMAN (strange.... i have very good patience with my dogs.....) the next instrument that i would like to learn is..... "pi-pa" but still can't tear myself off from the job.
sorry din see this post... but i guess it'd be a while before you can reply me anyway..ehhe..
going to auz now?? woo hoo!!!! finally your dream came true! take tons of pix ok?
i'm fine here...US is okie..ppl are friendly and nice..guess it's coz i'm in the south.. ahh talk more when you come back! have fun~i know you will..hehe..

Yeh i've been thinknig of getting one and "self teach" first since i've been learning music since i was young and wouldn't mind trying myself first then only get a prof to teach moi.
I play (accordingly mind you!!) the piano, violin, guitar (not prof but hey..), drums(still learning from my drummer and self) and self learning flute. Believe me i aint any good !
oh nooo way...spanish and french are really really related ..never think that spanish's easier jsut because everyone says that! they're really similiar like "pour quoi-why" in french..in spanish its "pour qui" ....they're really related..that's why i thoguht that after french spanish WOULD be easy for me .
I've never once thought that learning any language would be easy because leraning new things in life are never easy :)
