Guess there will not be any gathering for our furkids this Sun. The rest, pls take note. Junior has been suffering from skin infection (kinda like red scratch marks) on her tummy since last Sun. She must have got the 'cuts' from those lallang. I brought her to the vet 2 days ago, vet said it's ok. Not too worry, no big problem. If the redness continues, then gotta give her jab. She's almost ok liao ..
The message was conveyed to us through Ming Yang as we have been continuously talking to them for the rental of venue for future events. Since there is a sign board saying that no dog or pet are allowed in the Park and hence we assume that no dog are allowed in the normal days. They are obviously following our discussion threads and aware that some members are organizing gathering there via this forum.
The problem that we are facing is simple. We need the park as venue for some of our events. Able to hold doggie events there does not mean that the Central Park is a park that accept dog generally. If more gathering at BU are been organized via these forum without their permission, they may one day just stop renting the venue to us. The park is a private park that cater to the need of BU residence and they do not want to give an impression that the park that accept dogs.
Since we have been talking to them regularly on the venue rental, if anyone, any member wish to ask for permission for the use of the park as venue for gathering or others, on your personal capcity, please do not use the name of puppycom as it will confuse our negotiation with them.
JoJo's been a little scratchy too. Guess this is what happens the first time we bring them out...their bodies have to adapt..."swa khoo" mah. Also, she now gets really eager and worked up each time we mention "kai kai" to her. She must have really enjoyed herself playing with another doggie after breaking the ice with Junior.
Hope Junior gets well soon so that we can go out again. We can stay in touch through SMS or even calling. Afterall, we'll be neighbours soon enough
Thanks for clearing up the matter. I would like to take this opportunity to "clear up" the fact that our recent "gathering" was merely between 2 owners and their doggies on a "personal" capacity as "residents" of BU. Its not any large scale gathering or event.
You can rest assured that we have not AND will not at any time use the good name or jeopardise the good name of puppy.com with BU management pertaining to BU's Central Park.
PS. Don't think we can afford to pay BU any rental for using the park for any "private get-together" amongst a few wage earners like ourselves..hehehe
He behaves very well most of the time. He doesn't simply bark even during sleeping time. But he growls at me when I feed him. And I need to muzzle him when I put ear drops on him or when I bath him.
Maybe you would like to join Ming Yang's group for jungle trekking at Tmn Pendidikan Bukit Gasing. Just watch out for the next gathering. Maybe all the JRT owners here can meet there. A good venue for dog gathering and at the same time owners can sweat off few pounds too.
Well, it's been quite a busy and tiring week for me. My lil'kid is sapping my energy dry!!! hahaha. Yesterday just brought her to see a vet(Recommended by a lot of ppl) Got green colored dried tear and running nose. *sigh. Lucky the doctor said it's nothin. Gave me some flu tablets, vitamin C tablets, antibiotic and a bottle of supplements(boosting immune system). Just hoping that she'll get better soon. The vet say that if the running nose still persist and becomes green in 2/3 days, then better bring her to see him quick. and i forgot to ask him bout her eating her poo poo
Another thing now with her is that she eats her poo poo. *yuck* What to do? i did read some posting saying that i can try using the spray that contains garlic and spray it to her poo. Some said using 8 in 1 deter and some basic dog training. My fren, chriss also did a research for me in the internet, it might be because she got weak digestive system and her poo still contain some food and that's why she eats it. Thanks Chriss. Any ideas anyone? I won't be able to train her until this weekend... my gf will be back also this weekend and she can keep an eye out for her while i'm workin. Hope everything will go well.
About poo eating, Chris is right about the food not properly digested. What kibbles are you feeding her now? Maybe you want to consult your vet about changing her diet.

Yr baby eating her poo-poo? My Junior is also having the same problem.. Richard912 recommended me Deter (8 in 1) Tks Richard. Managed to buy it from a petshop in TTDI. RM28 per box. A box contains 2 strips; each strips has got 30 tablets.
Still monitoring Junior's behaviour; started giving her Deter only 4 days back. Petshop owner suggested consumption for 2 weeks, to add the Deter dosage if it's not working. (Consumption depends on puppy's weight) Those not sure can check with the petshop & there's also instruction on the box.
When we keep an eye on Junior, she's ok. Dare not play & eat her poo-poo. But I doubt she'll be good when we are off to work & leave her in the cage. Each time when I come home to check, don't seem to find any poo-poo, just some pee stains (sometimes a few pieces can be seen laying here & there on the newspapers) I'm just wondering whether she has sapu all the poo-poo or she really tahan until we come back..?
Advice please...?
(Nairud, try giving yr pup Deter; see whether it helps..)
I think the problem could be overfeeding. This results in food not being thoroughly digested before it is passed out and your kid eats it back. This is especially evident when the puppies are caged. Typical sign that your kid is overfed is the texture of its stool...its soft, bordering on being "watery". On the flip side, hard stools mean your kid is not given enough. This is something you simply have to monitor and adjust until its just about right.
My JoJo is on Royal Canin Junior feed for puppys. It would come with a measurement cup from which you can determine how much to feed per day. Given that my JoJo has 2 meals daily, I divide this into 2 portions. Note that different dog food will require different daily amounts but not by a lot.
Hope your little Rascal gets well soon

yalor yalor...her stool is yellowish color and watery. Maybe overfeed ler...but then if give little also i scared she'll be malnourish. How to measure. Use a cup how? If i have to observe, then it'll take few days to observe lor...Moreover i have to give her half a cube of that supplement for her. Will note down the brand and let ya'all know tomolo. hehehe. I tot of breakin up the cube and train her using that as a treat . any suggestion?
I hope everyone is ok with this since we're discussin bout eating poo in JRT thread. but then hey, it's bout JRT also mah
Yellowish and watery?? You are going to turn her into a hippo
You could use a "rice cup" but it depends on the food you are feeding her. Before Royal Canin (which works out to be just over half the "rice cup" per meal) I was using Hill's (under 3/4 cup). The difference you may notice, is due to the size of the food where Hill's is bigger in size and also other elements such as the composition of various nutrients within the food. I switched to Royal Canin because it uses protein for bonding as compared to most others which uses carbohydrate (starch). We all know high carbo makes us FAT . In your current case, I would suggest reducing her meal size to 3/4 of what you are currently feeding and to monitor (increase or decrease) from there.
I do believe your kid is still a bit young for any real form of training. Nevertheless, treats are good to make her respond to you now. Later, you will find treats useful in making them "sit", "come", "up" etc.

yeah..maybe now is not a good time in training her yet. hehehe. But then will try to reduce her meal to 3/4. I dunno what brand i bought for her coz the petshop girl recommend that to me. 0.9KG for rm 15. But then i think this weekend, i'll buy royal or HillScience. The breeder uses HillScience small bite but then now, there's no Puppy smallbites in store because of the recent birdflu outbreak. got only Hill science puppy original. How how how??? me in dilemma now. heheheh
Kekeke.. Yea.. Its a long way to go and we're excited. Its the first time that we celebrated a dog's b'day.. Our last dog died before she could celebrate her 2nd b'day (we don't know her real b'day because she was abandoned and we rescued her)... So, we want to make this b'day count...
After the death of my dog last year, I didn't think that I'd be so attached to this little pup. But after rearing her from a tiny 7week old innocent baby to a 8mth old "terror"... I'm very attached to her and so is she towards me...
Every morning, she'll come to my door and "woof" until I open it... She only does this to me and no one else in my family.. Kekeek... Feel so priviledged..
Anyway, I have a pic of Snoopy when she was an innocent babe...
